TW: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS LOSS, BLOOD AND ANXIETY/PANIC ATTACKS. Please keep yourself safe <3
It's been 2 and a half weeks since the discovery of my pregnancy, being a relatively small person, a little bump has already began pushing its way out of my stomach, nothing at all dramatic. 2 more weeks and apparently, I'd be done with the first trimester.
I still haven't told Agent McCall about it, I fear he'll try and make me get rid of it, so I plan to hide it from him until it's too late. I long to tell Fred, or Archie and Jug... and most importantly, Sweet pea. I know how angry at me he must be, how much hurt I caused him, it breaks my heart. But I know him, even if it didn't mean we got back together, he'd step up as a father. He'd freak out, but he'd be happy.
I long for that life. I dream of it often. To be in my parents' old house with Sweet pea and our baby. With Betty and Jughead down the street with their own family, Archie and Veronica in our family home on the Northside with Fred... And if it weren't for the fact I'm lying to Rome and Sid about who I am, I could even imagine them in a place in Riverdale.
If only life were that simple.
"Hey, Alex, we're going to meet some friends of ours for a drink tonight, obviously you can't drink, but you should come and meet some people besides me and Rome." Sid says.
Him, Roman and I sit in their living room, the boys are playing Playstation whilst I sit by the window, watching the sun begin to set.
"Oh, are you sure?" I ask. "I don't wanna intrude."
"You're our friend!" Rome says.
"So?!" I whine.
"C'mon. Let's get you out for a bit. If it makes you feel better, I won't drink with you." Sid says.
"You don't have to-"
"You're coming, let's go."
"Can I at least go home and change?" I ask.
"You look fine!" Roman argues.
"I'm going to at least change." I argue back.
"Fine, but I'm coming with you to make sure you don't lock us out." Sid laughs
"You're an idiot."
*
We walk into a bar not far from our houses, anxiety bubbles around me. Besides the Whyte Wyrm, I'd never been into a bar before, technically I'm not even old enough to go into a bar, even with my fake age, but I suppose if I'm just going to hang out, it's fine.
As we walk in, I'm immediately greeted by familiar faces, the woman that cut my hair, Iris, and her blue haired wife that I didn't catch the name of.
"Hey guys!" Rome greets the women, the twins giving them both hugs.
"Alex, these are our friends we told you about! Maya and Iris." Sid introduces us. "Ladies, this is our neighbour, Alex."
"Oh, we've met this sweetie already!" Maya exclaims. "She came into the shop a few weeks ago."
"Oh, you did?' Roman asks me, I fiddle with my hair in response.
"Sure did, we cut those bad memories right off, right Alex?" Iris says
"Yeah." I say with a small laugh.
"I will say though," Iris says as we all sit in a booth. "You don't look old enough to be drinking?"
"I'm not drinking. I'm only 18." I lie.
"Oh! You're a baby!" She hums.
"A baby having a baby." Sid giggles.
