Taylor's POV
The days away from Billie seemed to drag. She told me all about her show a few nights back and how wild the fans where. She was so fucking cute when she talked about them and was always so humble about her success. I'd been missing her like crazy though.
I'd been back and forth at the hospital so much but today my Dad was released so Brooke and I got him home and planned to surprise Billie and Finn tonight since we had told them that we still needed a few more days. Maggie was in on the plan so she would be picking us up from the airport in Philly tonight and was sneaking us backstage before the show.
"Brooke, the Uber is here! You better be ready cause I'm not fucking missing this flight" I called out to Brooke as I stood at the front door ready to leave
"Coming!" She called back, as she ran down the hallway of our house, almost knocking me over as she pummelled past me out the door
"Someone is a little bit excited?" I chuckled loudly as I followed after her to the Uber that waited in our driveway
"Well duh! I miss Fin!" She giggled, rolling her eyes at me as she slid into the car
"Airport please" I said to the driver as he reversed out of the driveway
"So do you think they know?" Brooke spoke lowly as she fidgeted in her seat, barely containing her excitement
"Nope. They won't have a clue. Maggie has really been helpful with that though. Plus Billie still thinks that Dad is a few more days out from being released" i shrugged my shoulders and smiled. A big smile began to form on Brooke's face as we sat in the car the was now hurling down the highway toward the airport.
I felt my phone start to vibrate in my jeans.I pulled it out eagerly knowing it was probably Billie calling.
"Hey babe" I answered it casually
"Hey mamas, any updates?" Billies voice said through the phone
"Not yet Bils. He's doing okay though. It's just taking a little longer than we thought it would" I spoke softly. I fucking hated lying to her but if I wanted the surprise to work she needed to be clueless about our plan.
"I wish I was there beautiful" I added
"I know baby, I wish you were here too. I miss you" I could hear the sadness in her voice
"I miss you too. Only a few more days tho-"
"Are you driving right now? Sounds like you're in a car or something" She cut me off
"Hmm? Oh.. nah Brooke's driving and we're just heading out to get something to eat" I said as casually as I possibly could.
"Oh haha okay. What's on the menu?" She chuckled
"Taco Bell" I smiled as I spoke. What I would give for some Taco Bell right now "we're almost there babe so I gotta go okay? I'll call you tonight before your show" I spoke quickly as we were approaching the airport departures drop off zone.
"Oh. Alright. Talk soon then. I love you" she mumbled into the phone. I could tell she sounded a little upset by my eagerness to get off the phone but I couldn't let her hear the sounds of the planes that were taking off or she'd be onto us.
"I love you!" I hit the end call button just as the driver opened my door for me. Phew.
Hopefully this 5 hour flight goes quickly.

Billies POV
The call ended just as quickly as it had started. What the fuck? Usually Taylor would spend ages on the phone with me... why was she acting so weird. Maybe she was mad that I didn't stay there with her...
"Was that Taylor" Finneas mumbled as he sat sprawled on the couch of the hotel room
"Huh?" I was snapped out of my thoughts as I sat staring at the blank screen of my phone.
"Taylor?" He raised his eyebrows at me
"Oh. Yeah.. that was her. No updates." I mumbled
"Everything okay?" He said as he got up from the couch and walked toward me
"She's actin' fuckin' weird man. I dunno... like she's mad or something" I said, still staring at my phone
"I'm sure it's nothing Bil. She's just going through a hard time right now" he sighed as he sat down beside me on the floor
"I know. I should've stayed there with her" I poured
"She wouldn't have let you even if you wanted to Bils. She cares about you too much to let you put this tour on hold. She really loves you...and I don't doubt that she misses you like crazy too" he spoke with sincerity in his voice. He was always so good at calming me. "We've still got a lot to get through with meetings and sound checks today so that should keep your mind off it for a little while. Show starts in 6 hours so let's just concentrate on that okay?"
"I just miss her. But you're right" I sighed as I checked the time on my phone.
"Speaking of meetings, we have one in 20 minutes so we better get down there" I huffed as I stood up from the hotel room floor.

Taylor's POV
After what seemed like the longest fucking flight in history, we finally arrived in Philly where we wasted no time exiting the plane and collecting our duffels from the baggage collection. As we walked out the arrivals gate we spotted Maggie easily enough as she waved enthusiastically from the crowd of people awaiting their loved ones.
"My gosh girls I'm so happy you're back! Everyone has been missing you like crazy!" She gushed as she hugged us both "Taylor sweetie, how are you doing? How's your Dad?" She said as she squeezed me extra right before pulling away to look at me
"I'm doing okay Thankyou Maggie. Dad is doing a lot better. I think he's pretty happy to finally be back home. I know it's going to be hard for him not having Mom there... but I'll check in with him each day as we go along" I answered as steadily as I could. It was all still hard to talk about but I think I was just getting better at hiding the pain.
"Well you have a whole family of support behind you. If you need anything at all just let me know okay?" She said as she hugged me again
"Thankyou Maggie. Now, what's our plan to surprise Billie and Finneas?" I piped up as we made our way to the exit
"Okay so the plan is to sneak you both into the venue without either of them noticing. Taylor, you're going to be assuming your regular duties with crowd control in front of where Billie will be performing so she will see you the moment she steps out onto the stage, and Brooke, we're going to sneak you to the wing of the stage where Finneas enters and exits so right before he goes on you can surprise him." Maggie said as we made our way to the car. She was practically bouncing as she spoke "Show starts in an hour so we need to get going" she added
"Sounds perfect" I grinned.
I can't fucking wait to see my girl
