But before my mouth spilled a word..

My eyes twinkle and brightened as a sun.

"Argh!!! Gerardo!!!!"

I didn't expect this, because he greeted me earlier this morning.

Juan:
Hey good morning, Kae! Happy 19th year on this world! Hope you enjoy your birthday today. I'll be hosting a dinner for us when you got home. Take care!

That's why, I'm still thinking if I am daydreaming?

"Hey! Kaela Jayne Hidalgo?!"

"Juan Gerardo Gomez De Liaño, why?"

"Ha-ha-ha, funny." I heard his sarcasm.

"Hoy! Anong nangyari? Bat ka nandito?" I asked

"Why? Do you want me to leave then?" He answered.

"Ay, you're so KJ today ha! I'm asking lang."

"It's your birthday, Kae. How can I miss it?" Take me to cloud 9 please!!!

"A-ahhh. You're training?! How can you miss thaaaat?"

"I asked Coach Bo for this. Long weekend? No problem. As long as my diet will be at the good state. Syempre, for my biceps, triceps, and abs." With action pa yan.

"God! I can't believe, Swish. Why didn't you tell me earlier? Sana di ako na lungkot dito."

"Sorry, Kae! Pero surprise nga 'di ba? That's why."

"Appreciated! Thank you!!!" I hugged him so tight wherein...

"Kae, I can't breathe..." he faking a choke and laughing. I can't response..

"Hey, Kae! Wala kang balak bumitaw?" He added.

"W-walaa.." I whispered.

"Ha? Are you okay?" He said.

"Sorry, I'm so happy lang." While I'm smiling. "Thank you, you made my day."

"Its okay, Kae. We are leaving next week, right? I'll miss you, that's why bond muna tayo."

"Oo nga pala, kahit off season may league pa din kayo sa Japan." I pouted.

"2 weeks will be quick, after that I owe you a day out, is it alright?" He excitedly said.

"What now? Enchanted? Aqua Park?" My eyes twinkled.

"You're really into adventures. Sayang, you can't go with us." He sighed.

"Why? Do you want me to?" I asked.

"Yeah, but you have your class. Study first. It's under rule number 6!" Ah, yeah. We have this rule. That's why. This is our 10 rules as best friends.

10 rules that shouldn't be broke by anyone.
1. Never forget the birthday of each other.
2. Never keep a secret.
3. Keep supporting each other.
4. Have a bonding every month.
5. Keep both of the parties updated.
6. Study first, we should finish it together.
7. If we have free time, Kaela Jayne should watch Juan Gerardo's game.
8. We should know both peers.
9. Never leave each other.
10. Problems should be solve together.

"Oh I see." I sighed and pouted.

He put his earphones, then closed his eyes. I think he's tired. Hindi ko nga napansin kanina dito yan. Siguro masyado akong pre occupied knowing na di sila makakasama ni Jave/Javi. Javier is with Tita Anna and Tito Bert in their car. Their family is really associated with mine. That's why me and Juan is very close.

While his eyes we're closed, I smiled. Watching him peacefully taking nap after a long day, is one of my favorite part of the day. Sometimes, I pick up him after his tiring practice. We're just really comfortable with that. His jaw clenched... that jaw is really defined, his nose, his eyes is really giving me chills when I look at it.

While I'm staring at him, he opened his eyes. I was shocked, then look at the window.

"Kae, why are you staring? Do I look mess?" He said while looking at my eyes.
