"Girlfriend?!" I screamed, Hashia laughed so hard. Juan stared at me, parang nagbabanta.

Wala talaga akong maalala.

"Hey mister," sabay kalabit kay Juan. "Bakit parang hindi niya alam na kayo?" tinaasan nya ng kilay si Juan.

"I have my proofs," Juan showed his phone, and there's a video of me.

"Hey, Kaela Jayne Hidalgo, I waited 5 years and I can't wait another day to be with you. I know I didn't court you properly yet, I'm here to ask you. Will you be my girlfriend?" Juan said while holding my hand.

"Yes, Juan Gerardo. YES!" Then we hugged.

"Oh fuck!" Napahawak ako sa ulo ko. Did I drink that much? Bakit ganito?

"Shit, Kaela! Finalllyyyy!!!!" Hashia exclaimed.

"See, gotta go now. I'll see you around, girlfriend." Then he kissed my forehead.

Namula ako, ginawa niya yon sa harap ni Manang at ni Hashia.

"Oh my God, Kaela!!! You're easy to get ha! I didn't know that you're very marupok dyan sa bestfriend mo!" She still smiling.

I'm still speechless. Ewan ko ba, wala talaga akong maalala. Baka inedit niya yun?

"Shia, wala talaga akong maalala. Don't you think it's edited?" I asked Hashia.

"Gaga, anong edited? How can a video like that be edited, this early in the morning talaga?" She shifted her seat, "Hay na 'ko, I already told you sa ganyan mo since nung nasa state tayo ha, wag kang iinom ng pagod ka. Pagod ka ba kahapon?" I nodded, "Deal with your boyfriend, Kaela. Gusto mo naman din 'yan," Tumayo siya, "Magpapahinga muna ako ngayon, mamaya na lang chismisan." At umalis na siya sa sala.

She didn't bother to ask me saan yung kwarto niya, feeling ko nakita naman niya iyon kanina nung ilalagay nila Manang yung gamit niya.

I'm still thinking of what happened last night when my phone beeps,

juangdl: I have a training camp today, actually I'm running late. Can you send me a best of luck message, girlfriend?

kaelahdlg: Good luck, Juan Gerardo. I want to talk to you, please see me or call me after your training. 

Napapikit nanaman ako, hindi ko na mabilang kung nakailang buntong hininga na 'ko simula kanina. Is this really right? Tama na ba 'tong panahon na 'to para sa aming dalawa?

juangdl: Will probably see you after this, update me okay? I love you.

He just sent I love you? He sent? Shit. My heart is skipping it's beat. I don't know kung bakit ganito pa rin nararamdaman ko, okay naman kagabi ah. Pero ngayon lang kasi nag sisink in lahat. Di ko alam kung i u-update ko siya after ng message niya.

I went to Hashia's room, she's resting. As I check my phone, it's already 12 noon na. I'm planning to visit the company on Monday. Though, dapat next week pa pero I need to familiarize myself sa mga kailangan kong gawin sa kompanya.

Humiga muna ako sa kwarto, masakit pa din ang ulo ko. Ayoko naman inuman ng gamot, kaya pa naman siguro kailangan lang ng pahinga.

My eyes were merely close when my phone rang.

"Hello," I immediately answered it.

"Jayne," Bumuntong hininga siya. It's Juan.

"Uhm?"

"You didn't reply, you're busy I guess?" Narinig ko ang busina sa kabilang linya.

"Not really, You're driving? Be careful." Sabi ko sa kanya.

"So you care for me huh?" He said almost smirking,

Natawa naman ako. I always care.. 

"Ha-ha, funny." I smirked.

After his call, nag pahinga muna ako sa sakit ng ulo ko. Nagpaalam din naman ako sa kanya na baka matulog muna ako. Hindi ko alam kung hang over ba 'to na sinamahan ng jetlag o ano e.

At 3 PM nagising ako sa tawag niya, pinapaalalahanan akong kumain kasi nga naman hindi daw ako nagrereply sa mga text nya so he assumed that I overslept, which is true. Nang nakaramdam ako ng gutom, pumunta ako sa kwarto ni Hashia para katukin siya upang kumain. We ate together tapos nagkaroon kami ng konting chikahan tungkol sa mga friends namin sa U.S.

"Si Alexandra and Tyler nga together na, I can't believe this!" Nasapo niya ang kanyang ulo,

"I'm the only loner of the OGs ha!" Pinaypay niya ang kanyang kamay at nag panggap na naiinitan. I chuckled. OG is Original Gangster, pero we're not really gangster she was saying it kasi we're her forever OG daw. Whatever!

"Ang OA mo pa din! Si James, single pa naman 'di ba?" Sabi ko sa kanya upang mabuhayan ng loob. But, she laughed hysterically. 

"Wow! Gaga ka ba?! Paanong mag kakagusto sa'kin yon? E halos nga maubos na pera niya para lang magpapansin sayo!"Napairap siya.

"At least, you're not the only single at the group Hashia." Bumawi ako ng irap.

James is one of my friend in U.S. almost lahat kasi ng kaibigan nito ni Hashia, pinakilala niya sa'kin since we're having this night outs. James, Rylee, Alex, Tyler, and Kheena. He court me when I was there, pero wala naman akong balak maghanap ng pag-ibig 'don. My ultimate goal is to finish my course there after that dito din naman ako mag ii-stay ulit. James and Rylee, now Tyler and Alex are together. Si Kheena naman, she's always the playgirl of the group. Sometimes she strip, she dance, she party all night.

James was really nice, yeah. Pero hindi talaga pumasok sa isip ko na maging boyfriend ko siya cause he was 3 years younger than me. I can't see my self having a relationship to someone na hindi ko pa nakikita ang maturity. Though I inform him about this but he wants to pursue me. Pero ayun nga, hindi pa rin talaga.

Natapos kaming kumain at pinaalala niya ang labas namin ng kanyang mga kaibigan dito.  Okay, Hashia! You're the social butterfly here or on the States. Pinaalala ko din na kailangan niya pang mag pahinga. 

It was quarter after five when Juan called, he just said na hindi na daw siya makakadaan dito. May pupuntahan daw siya biglaan. I understand, hindi naman niya siguro seseryosohin yung nasa video? Hay, bakit kasi ganito ako. Madalas din nangyayari sa'kin to sa States, pag galing sa school tapos walang pahingang dederecho sa bar, ang ending wala akong maalala kinabukasan. Though, Hashia is always there to remind me about my stupidity, she's also making sure that before we go to bar, nakapagpahinga na ako.

I'm planning to enroll myself in gym, kaso iniisip ko kailangan ko yung malapit sa condo na titirhan ko. Hassle naman kasi kung malayo pa di 'ba? I'm planning to take Plyo HIIT class, mas gusto ko iyon, madali daw kasi makaburn ng fats. So I searched sa Google. Pero may notification na nag pop sa phone ko.

Parang hindi naman familiar 'tong name na 'to. Then I stalked her. Naka public naman yung account niya kaya accessible makita lahat ng picture. She's pretty, pero medyo matapang ang features niya. Medyo may katangkaran at morena ito.

Pero laking gulat ko sa nakita 'ko.

Her story was a picture where Juan was in front of her they we're eating in a fine dining at take note, Juan was in his formal attire. When I checked Juan's account I saw his mirror selfie and the place where he is.

I heard my heart cracked. Bakit hindi na lang siya nagsabi ng totoo? Totoo nga bang laro lang ito?
