Chapter (24):

Monique woke up and found herself sleeping on the couch and her head ached from drinking last night. She brought herself a pill and a glass of water and took the pill. She headed to Wren's room, opening the door and saw Wren sleeping on her stomach with both her hands under the pillows wearing her grey tank top. She entered the room tip toeing until she reached the edge of her bed and just looked at Wren, thinking whether to wake her up and tell her that she is leaving or not.

Monique was startled by the door bell, she left Wren's room and headed for the door, opening it she saw Madeline before her eyes dressed up in casual and looking nice as usual and from the look on her face she knew that probably Madeline was thinking that she spent the night here with Wren. On the same bed.

"Hey, is Wren there?"

"Yes, come on in" She opened the door for her and when she entered Monique turned to her quickly. "She is still sleeping"

"Uh-huh" She said raising her eyebrow but her back was facing Monique.

"You are probably thinking that we slept together but don't worry nothing happened"

She turned to her trying to act casual. "Oh, don't worry, it never occurred to me something like that. By the way Wren told me that you have a new girlfriend, congratulations" she said and Monique knew that it was her cue to go now.

"Yeah, thanks and I'm happy for you and Wren" she said truly. "She deserves the best and I'm sure you will make her happy"

She nodded at her as she didn't know what to say.

"I have to go now. See you later" She took her bags and left.

As soon as the door closed, Madeline released a deep breath she didn't know she was holding and turned on her heel to Wren's bedroom. She opened the door just enough for her to enter, and went to the other side of the bed taking off her shoes and sat on the bed playing with Wren's short hair that was covering her face. Seeing no reaction, she gently caressed her cheeks which made her stir a little in her sleep and accidently got closer to Madeline, Madeline let out a small chuckle and she continued stroking her short hair, then she ran her finger down her back and that made her roll over and sleep on her back instead.

"Jesus, Wren" she said softly and planted a soft kiss on her lips which made her finally open her eyes slowly. She blinked more than once and when she saw Madeline she smiled. "If I knew that a kiss would wake you up, I would have done that 5 minutes ago" She chuckled. "Morning" She added as she gave her another kiss, a longer one.

Wren stayed in her position enjoying the taste of Madeline's lips in the early morning, it was better than coffee. They broke the kiss and Madeline's hand went back to her hair.

"How long have you been here?" asked Wren rubbing her eyes from sleepiness.

"Not too long. Monique was here when I came, she opened the door for me and then she left"

"I'm glad you are here" She grabbed the back of her hand and kissed it, smelling the lavender of her hand. "I still kind of feel guilty about the talk we had yesterday"

"Wren, I told you it's fine. At least we have some people on our side"

"You are right and I think both of them will keep that secret until we are ready to share it with the world. So, what do you wanna today? Did you have breakfast?"

"I did and I'll go make you one"

"No, not now, stay with me for a while" She pulled Madeline down with her and snuggled into her.

"Okay, just for a while then you will take a shower while I make you a breakfast"

"Yes, ma'am" she said closing her eyes and sleeping in her embrace and Madeline laughed.
