A week has passed and Wren was still in her coma. Henry didn't visit her as it was expected from him. Madeline tried to be strong and so did the others. Eva and Dave supported Madeline and Eleanor. Eleanor and Madeline were in Wren's room sitting on the chairs beside the bed hearing the monitor.

"You know she loves you" said Eleanor looking at Wren. "You were the one who made her happy the last few months"

"I love her too"

"Then why didn't you tell her before? Why hide the truth?"

"I was afraid... I was afraid she will be mad at me or will think that I cheated on her but in fact I was just too coward to face her. I tried to explain to her but she refused"

"Wren was always stubborn like her father. When they are mad they don't listen to others and I'm sure she was pretty mad about the whole William thing but..." She looked at Madeline warmly. "When she loves someone, she holds them to her heart"

"I don't understand" Her brows furrowed.

"She will forgive you, just give her time. I'm sure she will wake up soon" she said hopeful and Madeline gave her a small smile hoping for the same thing.

.........................................................

In the night at the hospital, Madeline went to the cafeteria to grab something for her to drink when she returned back she found the door ajar, she was sure that she closed it before leaving. She peeked through the door and heard a man's voice. Looking through the door, she spotted Henry talking to Wren.

..............................................................

Henry sat on the chair beside the bed and held his daughter's hand, suppressing his tears. "I'm sorry, sweetheart... I'm sorry for not being there for you when you needed me the most" A tear rolled down his cheek as he swallowed. "I was a bad father to you, I always blamed you for a lot of things which you didn't do" His voice started to crack. "Forgive me Wren... I love you, I always had and always will and just so you know, I was always proud of you. I was too blind to see that you are the perfect daughter any father could have and want" He closed his eyes and leaned his head on the mattress crying silently.

Silence fell for a minute in the room, only the heart monitor beeping was heard, and Madeline herself was crying silently too at the sight of Henry feeling regret and finally telling his daughter his own feelings about her success.

Henry felt fingers brushing his hand, he thought it was just his hallucination but then he heard a whisper, a small voice like a ghost voice saying the word 'Dad'. He raised his head from the mattress and looked with his watery eyes at Wren and found her eyes were slightly opened and she was smiling at him weakly under the oxygen mask. His eyes went wide and smiled through his tears.

"Hey, dad" She managed to say.

"Oh, my god!! Wren!!" he said happily as he stood up kissing her forehead while still holding her hand. "I'm so glad you are back!!"

Madeline saw Wren wake up from her coma and cried from happiness as she went to get the doctor and tell the others the good news.

The doctor entered the room with the nurse and done a few checks on her vitals, her heart beat, seeing her pupils, running a few tests and scans.

"Well, all I can say is that you are good" said the doctor smiling at Wren.

"Does that mean I can finally go home?"

"... You will but not now. You have to stay here for a few days till we make sure that everything is good. It's just a routine just in case something happens"
