Chapter (25):

The sun rose and reflected on Wren's features as she was driving her jaguar following Eleanor's BMW. She was thinking about the right time to tell Eleanor about her relationship with Madeline, she trusts Eleanor's opinion and she was glad that Eleanor appreciates Madeline's work and she took it as a good sign.

As she was driving, a wide luxurious wooden house appeared in her view. They parked their cars, grabbed their bags and headed together to the door. The door swung open and a woman looked like the adult version of Madeline except she had green eyes. She welcomed them warmly by hugging her long-time friend, Eleanor and Wren just shook her hand, flashing her a smile and she motioned them to enter.

"Make yourself at home, I'll go and tell the others" she said sweetly.

"Wow, she really looks like her" She mumbled to herself.

"Wren, the woman we just me is Lena Anderson. We were friends in college and she introduced me to her husband, Joseph Anderson"

"So you are friends with her first then with Mr. Anderson"

"Exactly"

A sound of a little child laughing rang the room and out of nowhere came a little girl wearing a white blouse with a pink butterfly on it and blue jeans with little white shoes, she had a straight blonde hair, blue ivy eyes. She was running and laughing from a young brown haired guy who Wren assumed would be Madeline's younger brother.

"Oh, hey there" he said waving at them. "Sorry, just you know how these little kids are" He walked towards them and shook their hands. "I'm Daniel but everyone here calls me Dan"

"You don't remember me, do you?" asked Eleanor playfully.

"Of course, I remember you, Eleanor" He chuckled. "Who else would bring me toys when I was 8?"

"Good for you and don't forget me" she said laughing and he did too. "This is my husband's daughter but she is like mine too"

"Hi, I'm Wren. Nice to meet you Daniel"

"Well, well, well, it's Wren Clermont herself at my house" He put his hands on his hips.

"It's our family house" A blonde woman, with blue eyes and a pregnant belly came with a blonde man, holding hands and smiling as they approached them. "Hi, I'm Rose and this is my husband Mike. Nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too" said Wren as she looked at the little girl. She bent down on her knees and looked her with a smile. "Hi there, my name is Wren, what's yours?"

"Vanessa" The girl replied shyly.

"Well, Vanessa I don't really have a lot of friends as pretty as you are, would you like to be my friend?"

"Yes"

"Hey, look at that, the guests are here" said Joseph as he was climbing down the stairs. He greeted them and ushered them to the living room. Eleanor and Wren made themselves comfortable getting to know the family but Wren noticed the absence of Madeline, just as she was thinking about her, Madeline arrived, greeted her family and her bosses.

"Hey, you are always late" said Dan to Madeline.

"Not always"

"Wren?" He looked at her. "I hope my sister doesn't give you hard time at work" She laughed at Dan's comment.

"Don't worry, she is hard working and a very creative person"

He scoffed jokingly. "Boring" This time Madeline laughed and locked eyes with Wren. Rose noticed the way they were looking at each other since Madeline's arrival in the house.
