Somewhere in Atlanta, in the early morning, the sun entered her room through the window, it shed its light on her soft features, on her almond shaped eyes. She started to open her eyes slowly as the sunlight was reflecting on her, she blocked her eyes from the sun and turned her head to the other side and closed them again, taking a deep breath and enjoying her morning. She opened her eyes again looking at the clock beside her, her eyes widened and she quickly left her bed to start her day.
"Shit, I'm late!"
She was panicking. She opened her wardrobe picking her professional clothes and wore them as quickly as possible without tripping. The phone rang on the nightstand and she went to answer.
"Hello?"
"Ready for your interview?"
"Eva?"
"Yeah, who else?"
"Nobody " She looked at the clock. "Look, I'm late I've to go. I'll meet you after the interview"
"Sure. Good luck"
She hung up and went to continue wearing her heels, taking her portfolio with her and rushed to the door wishing herself the luck.
The reception of the company was nicely decorated with Maroon and White walls with paintings hanging on it, decorating the place, it has a wide space and the reception desk was a brown curved long desk with three employees answering the phone calls. She was sitting waiting for her name to be called, waiting for the moment to be interviewed by someone she didn't know.
"Madeline Leighton" A woman in a suit called her name.
"Y-Yes that's me" she said nervously.
"Follow me please"
She gestured for her to enter and Madeline stood up adjusting her clothes quickly, taking a deep breath and getting ready.
As soon as she entered the interview room, the aurora of roses entered her nostrils making her relax and calm. She saw a man wearing glasses up to his nose with his grey formal suit, checking the papers and portfolios in front of him in the desk. He looked at his computer for a sec and turned to Madeline giving her a professional look as she sat across from him and gave him a small smile.
"Good morning, Miss. Leighton"
"Good morning"
"Shall we begin?" he asked her professionally.
"Sure" she said calmly.
"Alright, what do you know about our company?" he asked in his British accent.
"Well for starter, the company was founded in 2013 by Wren Clermont as an heir of Henry Clermont and the company has grown since the beginning of its foundation. The company specialize in many things like Make-up, Perfumes and organizing fashion shows, also contributing with other companies in advertising"
"Mm-hmm. Do you think you are worth the job?"
"I don't think. I'm sure I'm"
He smiled at her. "I like your confidence, Miss Leighton"
"Thank you"
"Now, tell me about your computer skills"
"I can work on Power Point, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and also make videos or edit them"
"Excellent..." He looked at her CV. "It says here that you are multilingual as well. What do you think the importance of it?"
"If the manager is having an interview with people abroad then I have to know how to talk with them and to guide or help them if they need anything, so basically it's for communication and mutual understanding"
