I groaned as I reached for my phone off the nightstand.

It was from Maria.

ReeRee: Get back to dorm safe     ???

James: Yes, Thank you again for coming with me.

I think I may have had a stroke while reading Maria's texts.

About an hour earlier I had decided that I'd go home by myself. Maria followed and I didn't protest. (And it was a good thing she did, I ran out of money.)

I didn't know if Thomas, Charles, Samuel, and Aaron were back yet. If they were, Samuel hadn't come back to the dorm. It was fine, it wasn't my job to worry about any of them. 

I heard keys in the door.

Well, speak of the devil. 

The door swang open and King was standing there.

...nevermind.

"Is Sam here?"

"No..."

"Fuck."

"He gave you keys?" I raised my eyebrows from my bed that I was lying on my stomach on.

"Yup."

"Pretty sure that's against school policies--"

"Well, I don't give rat's ass. Where is he?"

"I'm not his keeper."

"Fuck you."

I shrugged my shoulders, then rolled onto my back. 

I heard the door shut but still heard King standing in the room.

"You know you can't just sit there and ignore me." He walked over and sat on the foot of the bed. 

Oh, I could. 

I didn't say anything. 

And why didn't he sit on the couch? What a weirdo.

"I'm going to get you to talk--"

A knock.

"It's unlocked!" King shouted.

That's when everything started to go in a very large downhill spiral. 

Thomas walked in. He was about to say something but stopped short when he saw King sitting on the foot of my bed. 

"What'd you want?" King asked. 

I sat up.

"What's going on in here?" Thomas slipped a hand on to his hip. 

I looked from Thomas to King, who was narrowing his eyes.

"Well," he huffed, "Jameson and I were discussing a myriad of lovely topics, at least, that was before you interrupted us." He slapped a stupid grin on that stupid face of his. 

I facepalmed. Leave it to King to be that one melodramatic bitch. 

Thomas groaned. 

"What were these 'lovely topics?' "  He used air quotes.
