Note: Originally written on Inkvite by 'Kallie<3' & 'undormant'. Another example of my attempt at romance and giving it a dark twist. I think 'Kallie<3' was basing this on a TV show I'm not familiar with, hence her starting the first paragraph in the Fanfiction genre.
I can't " I whispered "you wouldn't ..." Vincent closed his eyes annoyed " let me geuss... Understand" I started to tap my foot "what am I supposed to do then Kate?
"Do it" she replied, "just do it."
Vincent pulled the string that turned the 'tap' which released torrent of water into the large water tank where they currently stood chained to the floor.
The immortal lovers kissed.
"You think it will work this time?" she asked.
"Honestly Kate ...I don't know" I held him tight as our body's clung to each other "this is it Vincent I can feel it " the water flowed over our necks reaching our mouth now this was it I opened my mouth only to be disappointed I could breath and so could Vincent under wa
This was new. There were times in the past where Vincent got a knife in the heart or Kate got disembowelled. They would die, black out, and when they awoke the body would mysteriously be in fine form, they'd find themselves in their beds.
Luckily they had a man servant
I woke up in my bed like I aways did with my servant siting beside me "this is ridiculous if I say so my self Kate u are eternally living I think it's time you settle for what you have"
"Easy for you to say Jeeves" she said turning over to brush the hair out of Vincent's eyes
"Please don't call me Jeeves"
"I've been calling your family Jeeves since 1915 I'm not stopping now. I've been alive since Egyptian times -"
"Please don't give me 'the speech'" I sighed and turned over on Vincent as he awoke I kissed him deeply letting go gentle as we cuddle each other he pat my head and kissed my cheek we didn't say a word there was nothing to be said we sat in silence tears ran down my face this wasn't fair he wiped my tears away
We tried hanging but we swung there staring at each other. We tried fire but we just looked into each others eyes over the flames.
No method worked. 10 thousand years is more than enough, but as I held him I could at least take comfort that we still loved each other.
