Briana Stark
I stare at Dad who sits in his roadster while he stares at the holographic images suspended in the air. I hear footsteps and look behind me to see Uncle Rhodey jog down the stairs.
"Uncle Rhodey?" I ask softly, a hint of worry was in my voice for dad.
"How long has he been in there?" Uncle Rhodey asks.
"Since we got home."
Uncle Rhodey sighs before he types the passcode in and marches over to him, I walk into the workshop as him and slowly walk behind Uncle Rhodey.
"Tony, you gotta get upstairs and get on top of this situation right now," Uncle Rhodey walks further into the room with a firm voice, "Listen. I've been on the phone with the National Guard all day, trying to talk them out of rolling tanks up the PCH, knocking down your front door, and taking these!" Uncle Rhodey points at the suits lining the wall.
I frown at that.
Uncle Rhodey continues, "They're gonna take your suits, Tony, okay? They're sick of the games. You say nobody else will possess this technology for another twenty years, well, guess what? Somebody else had it yesterday! It's not theoretical anymore. Are you listening to me?"
I stare at dad, worriedly. He rolls his head over to look at his best friend. His eyes are bruised and he looks sick very, very sick.
"Are you okay?" Uncle Rhodey takes Dax's arm.
Dad breathes in and smacks his arm, "I'm fine."
He moves to get out of the car, but suddenly his legs are crumpling out from underneath him and he's falling to the ground.
I sprint over to him, "Daddy!"
"Hey, man. Hey, hey!" Uncle Rhodey quickly moves to help, taking his shoulders in a panic. "You alright?"
"Yeah, I should get to my desk," dad answers breathlessly.
Uncle Rhodey helps dad over to his desk and dad sits in his chair.
"See that cigar box?" I nod as he continues, "It's palladium,"
I look at him with a confused look as Uncle Rhodey takes a disk out of the box. Dad reaches under his shirt, pulls out his arc reactor, and then a puff of smoke lifts up from it.
Uncle Rhodey points to the reactor, "Is that supposed to be smoking?"
"If must you know, it's neutron wall."
