Tony feels physically sickened by the sight of nothing but flames where his daughter used to be. He can still hear her scream as she plummeted down. She was scared. The only thing he wanted for her was to protect her, to protect his little family. And she was scared and he failed to protect her. The horrific sight grows overwhelming and his breath shudders out as realization falls upon him.
She's dead.
Briana Stark is dead.
His munchkin, his little girl, his little genius, his light to the darkness is gone.
Because he let the precious girl slip through his fingers, he wasn't a father anymore.
His head jerks to the side, but he can't seem to tear his burning eyes away. He can't look away from where his baby is. He can nearly hear it, even from two hundred feet up: the sound of his little girl's body smacking off of the concrete, breaking the life out of her. His eyes twitch until he can't bear it anymore, fulling turning himself away.
Memories ran through his head.
He first saw her as a newborn in the hospital.
Her first word, her first steps, her smile, her laugh.
The smiles he'll never see again, the laughs he'll never hear again, the hugs that he'll never feel again. The forehead that he'll never kiss again. The girl that he'll never say I love you to again.
She's dead.
Killian walks stiffly up the staircase near to where Tony is, watching down at the flames with interest. Tony pulls himself over the yellow railing, landing on the metal ground with a quiet clang. His head slowly tilts up and then he sees him standing there.
"A shame," Killian's voice echoes across the metal path as he glances back down at the fire. "I would've caught her,"
Tony's hands begin to tremble in uncontrollable rage and his body sways in a fury. He's hardly even thinking as he begins sprinting full force towards the man that begins running towards him as well. As Killian leaps up to land a punch on his jaw, Tony drops down and slides on his side underneath the man. He shoots back up and continues running face first into a suit that encases him.
Tony Stark is going to kill him.
It's an all-out battle then as the two men try to end each other. Metal clangs as both grunt and groan with pain. Punches are landed, plasma is shot, skulls are nearly crushed in a horrific display. There is no remorse in either man's actions as they fight for their own reasons. Killian is flushed with orange as Tony continually switches iron suits, both fighting for the upper hand that just won't seem to come. The fighting suddenly slows as Killian stands six feet higher than Tony who is left on his knees with an arm stretched back, waiting for the Mark 42 to finally do something right. But, of course, it doesn't. Tony's eyes dart back and his face falls in annoyance as the foot of the suit bumps into the railing, causing it to burst open into numerous pieces around his feet.
