"Hey, it's Peter," Briana looked over from where she stood with Maya and the Decathlon team to see Peter go over to them. "Peter?" Liv asked.

"Yeah, I was hoping maybe I could rejoin the team," Peter said.

"No, no way. You can't quit on us...stroll up and be welcomed back by everyone," Flash said. Briana rolled her eyes at him, she could see why Starr didn't want to be on the team with her twin brother.

"Hey, welcome back, Peter! Flash, you're back to first alternate," Mr Harrington said.

"What?" Flash asked.

Briana rolled her eyes again, "He's taking your place,"

"Excuse me, can we go already? Cause I was hoping to get in some protesting in front of an embassy before dinner," MJ says.

"Protesting is patriotic. Let's get on the bus," Mr Harrington says.

Flash takes off the orange jacket for the team and shoves it into Peter's arms. Once everyone was settled on the bus, "Focus up. Our next topic is the moons of Saturn."

Bing! "The second law of thermodynamics," Maya says.

Bing! "Frank Sinatra," a member says.

Bing! "Fort Sumter," Flash says.

Bing! "Flash is wrong,"

"Okay, guys, let's focus. Next one." Liv says.

"Liz, don't overwork them," Mr Harrington tells her.

Bing! "Strontium, barium, vibranium," Peter says.

"Very good, Peter. Glad to have you back," Liv says.

"Glad to be back," Peter mutters.

Briana dazes out of the studying when she feels a buzz in her pockets and takes out to find a message from Happy.

Happy: Got a blip on my screen here. You left New York?

Briana mentally cursed the tracker that she had in her phone and typed a response.

Briana: Yeah, it's a school trip. It's nothing. Happy, I gotta say, you tracking me without my permission is a complete violation of privacy. It's just for the Academic Decathlon, no big deal. If it makes you feel better, mom and dad know about it.

Happy: Hey, I'll decide if it's no big deal...sounds like no big deal. But remember, I'm watching you, Peter, and Catherine.

Briana: Yeah, yeah, I know.

Briana rolled her eyes at this and went back to the studying. The team continued to study till they arrive at the hotel they were staying at. Everyone gathered and got their roommates as they all headed to their rooms.

———

Peter zipped the sweater on to keep his Spider-Man suit hidden and peeked out of the room then turned around to look at his best friend, "The glowy thing, it's evidence. Keep it safe,"

Ned nodded, and as Peter turned the tracker on, he began to leave but stopped when he saw Briana going over. She had a purple bathing suit on it, a towel, and a bag full with candy. He quickly hid the tracker and smiled, "Hey, Bri,"

She smiled. "Perfect timing. We're gonna go swimming," she motions to Maya, Cat, and the rest of the team to come as they all run forward; Flash hits Peter with a towel as he runs by.

"Hey!" He whisper-shouts to Flash, before looking at Briana with a nervous yet soft and shy smile. "I...I was gonna go study in the business center,"

"Peter, you don't need to study, you're the smartest guy I've ever met," Briana said. "And besides...a rebellious group activity the day before competition is good for morale."

"Hm?" Peter asked.

She continued and stuttered a bit, "Well, I read that in a TED Talk, so—I—I heard it in a TED Talk. And I read a coaching book,"

As he looked at her, he could tell that this was really important to her.

He smiled, "You really—this is really important to you,"

She smiled and blushed, "Yeah. It's our future. I'm not gonna screw it up,"

As the two of them stared at each other, they both couldn't help but blushed lightly.

"Besides, we raided the minibar and these candy bars were, like, eleven dollars," Briana said as she reached into her bag and tossed him a candy bar, "So get your trunks on and come on,"

With the candy bar in his hand, he watched her hurried off to meet up with the team. Soon he found himself standing on the rooftop as he watched the decathlon team enjoyed their time in the pool.

His brown eyes fall on Briana wearing her violet bathing suit, who sat at the edge of the pool with her feet in the water. Her strawberry-blonde hair fell in front of her eyes as she pushed it behind her ears. God, she was beautiful. He wanted to tell her how he felt about her, he really did. But she was Briana Stark, the daughter of the Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. She was one of the most popular girls in Midtown Tech. She was a Avenger, for crying out loud! Did he really have a chance with her? He didn't know. But whenever he did or not, he still hoped that maybe, just maybe, she really did feel the same about him.

His adorable puppy-dog brown eyes remained on Briana as he watched his sister and Maya swam over to her before they both pulled her into the pool. He watched as she splashed them both when she resurfaced again, the three of them laughing as they splashed each other; just being teenagers, having fun.

He let out a sigh as he stood up straight, and fixed his backpack that he had on as well. He looked at Briana one last time before he took his Spider-Man mask and placed it on. Once the mask was on,  a voice broke the silence.

"Good evening, Peter."
