"Ladies and gentlemen," Justin Hammer began to speak in front of the audience. I sat with mom and Natasha, completely bored out of my mind and unimpressed. My mind wanders back to dad and I'm hoping that he's okay.

Justin Hammer continues, "For far too long, this country has had to place its brave men and women in harm's way, but then the Iron Man arrived, and we thought the days of losing lives were behind us. Sadly, that technology was kept out of reach. That's not fair. That's not right. And it's just too bad."

"Oh, lord." I hear mom mumble.

"Regardless, it was an impressive innovation, one that grabbed the headlines the world over. Well, today, my friends, the press is faced with quite a different problem. They are about to run out of ink. Ladies and gentlemen, today I present to you the new face of the United States military. The Hammer drone! Army!"

I yawn quietly, unimpressed by this and I noticed mom and Natasha glancing at each other.

"Navy! Air Force!" Justin shouts. "Marines! Yeah! Yeah! Whoo!"

The crowd continues to clap expect for myself, mom, and Natasha. Ugh, I feel like yawning again, I look down at the ground, my eyes feeling sleepy at how boring this is.

"That's a hell of a lot better than some cheerleaders, let me tell you. But as revolutionary as this technology is, there will always be a need for man to be present in the theater of war. Ladies and gentlemen, today I am proud to present to you the very first prototype in the Variable Threat Response Battle Suit and its pilot, Air Force Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes!"

My head snaps up in his direction at the mention of Uncle Rhodey.

Mom's mouth opens in shock, "What?"

Uncle Rhodey is wearing the suit that he took but it is completely "pimped" out. Wow, that looks uncomfortable now.

"For America and its allies, Hammer Industries is reporting for," Justin's annoying voice fades out as we all hear this loud, nearly whooshing sound.

Everyone in the audience turns and we see a red and gold suit flying through the sky. I smirk as dad lands with one fist on the ground. I watch as the three men conversing on the stage, too quietly for any one of us to hear. Then suddenly dad turns to Uncle Rhodey whose eyes go red and a large machine gun appears out of his suit. Then all of the drones follow his lead as they lift their thick arms and prepare to fire at anyone and anything. Justin leaps off the stage and dad lifts up in the air. He bursts up through the giant hole in the ceiling, and Uncle Rhodey and some of the drones quickly give chase.
