I watch as dad and Uncle Rhodey stands on a stage with Senator Stern at the podium.
"It is my honor to be here today," Senator Stern struggles to get the words out, "to present these distinguished awards to Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes and Mr Tony Stark, who is, of course, a national treasure."
Dad and Uncle Rhodey Shade a quick glance at each other. Dad raises on eyebrow over his sunglasses and Uncle Rhodey gives a small, nearly impressed nod. I can't hear what Senator Stern is saying to Uncle Rhodey or dad as he puts a medal on their suits.
"Let's get a photo," Senator Stern moves behind us and puts his arms around the two of them.
I chuckle as dad holds a peace sign over his head for the cameras.
