OVER. IT'S ALL OVER.
AJ Rogers doesn't move from her spot next to her father. She had lost her uncle and everyone she cared about. She stood next to her father who dropped to his knees to what used to be Vision, turning him over to find him pale and empty.
"What is this? What the heck is happening?" Rhodey questions.
Steve's eyes slowly lift in horror, realization setting in, "Oh, god,"
ON TITAN, TONY, CATHERINE, AND Nebula are the only ones left.
The daughter of Thanos quietly whispers, "He did it,"
Tears still streaming down their faces, Tony and Cat doesn't respond and simply look down at the ground. Nebula slowly sits down across from them.
"We lost,"
THE SKY IS A PALE COLD BLUE. The ground is covered in a brilliant lush green and the sun is setting upon the universe. The mad titan steps out of th shadows and into the fading orange light. Thanos slowly sits down upon the porch and doesn't say anything to interrupt the peace of his victory. The only sound around them being the small call of the birds.
A small smile curves across Thanos's cut lips as he simply stares at the sun setting down.
THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO END.
New York City is still hopping with activity, fearful in the wake of the aliens' return but trusting that the Avengers will take care of it. The streets are filled with people.
But it won't be for long.
"Still no word from the Starks?"
"No, not yet. We're watching every satellite in both hemispheres for Stark and the kid but still nothing—" the woman cuts off by a beeping sound interrupting them.
SHIELD's ex-director Nick Fury look away from the road, glancing over at her. "What is it?"
Ex-agent Maria Hill swipes quickly across her tablet, "Multiple bogets from Wakanda."
"Same energy signatures as in New York?"
Hills look quickly up at her boss, frowning, "Ten times bigger,"
Fury clenches his jaw, "Call Klein. Tell them we'll meet them—"
Suddenly, a car is swerving out of control right in front of them, spinning in rough and tight circles and only coming to a stop when it slams hard against another car.
"Nick!" Hill panickedly yells, saving themselves from crashing into the car as Fury hit the brakes.
The two slowly climb out of their car, their eyes glancing around. Hill goes to the car and looks in the window only to find no one in the driver seat.
"They okay?" Nick asked.
"There's no one here,"
A helicopter then begins to spin aimlessly through the air around and around until harshly colliding into a side of a skyscraper causing them to whirl around in panic and shock.
People begin to scream and run.
The world begins to end.
And this time, there are no Avengers here to save them.
"Call Control..." Nick says lowly to his friend, actually sounding afraid for the first time. "Code RED."
But Hill slowly calls out.
"Nick!"
The ex-director hurriedly spins around, his eyes go wide at the sight of his friend becoming... dust. "Hill!"
Then she's gone.
Nick stumbles back in horror, knowing there's only one thing left to do. He turns and starts sprinting to his car, dodging around the disappearing people. His shaking hands quickly dig through his go-bag, pulling out a piece of old tech he hasn't gone anywhere without for the past two decades.
Nick's finger quickly hits the button and soon after, the man's hand fades from view.
"Oh no..."
His single eye rolls just slightly and he lets out one last tired breath, hoping she can come back, hoping she can save the world — anyone who's left.
Nick Fury starts to give the world one last piece of his mind, but he doesn't quite get there.
The man disappears and all that is left is a pager that falls to the ground with a quiet chatter. It looks like all hope is lost. It looks like the Avengers are gone forever. But then....
