FIVE YEARS LATER
TONY STARK STRIDES ACROSS THE LARGE GRASSY YARD.
"Chow time!" The man claps a quick beat for the little girl as he grows closer to her usual play site.
When he goes unanswered, Tony eases himself down at the little tea table his daughter insisted he build, "Morgan H. Stark, want come lunch?"
The flap to the tiny tent shifts and then out comes a little girl clad in a violet iron helmet, "Define lunch or be disintegrated!"
"Okay!" Tony quickly jerks back and raises a hand, seeing that helmet made memories of Briana Stark entered his head as he did his best not to show the sadness and grief that never left him. "You found... her helmet?"
Oh god, ever since the Snap happened, he hasn't been able to call his baby by her name. It hurts him so much to know that she was gone forever. And thinking about her... brought many memories to his head. He missed her so much, he always will.
"You should not be wearing that," Tony finishes with a soft sigh, giving up trying to scold her as he kissed her cheek and fixes Morgan's brown hair, carefully taking the violet iron helmet back. "There you go. You thinking about lunch? Can I get you a handful of crickets on a bed of lettuce?"
"No..." Morgan dips her chin in a small pout, her face was so similar to Briana's.
"I know that's what you want, Morguna," Tony says, poking her little belly and making her squirm.
Morgan continues to whine before Tony chuckles and gives up, instead quietly holding Briana's old purple iron helmet, "How did you find this?"
"Not in the garage," Morgan says.
"Really? 'Not in the garage?' Interesting..." Tony hums, squinting suspiciously at her, "Were you looking for it?"
Morgan then looks as innocent as possible, "Nooo. I found it, though,"
"Mmm. You like going to the garage, huh? So does daddy," Tony stands and scoops Morgan up to his chest.
As Tony carries her back to the cabin, the sound of a car crunching against the gravel draws the man's attention, dimming his smile. His footsteps falter just slightly and his expression grows hard.
BUT A FEW MINUTES LATER, the group is sitting out on the front porch in a long and awkward silence. Their insane plan keeps rolling over and over in her head.
