CHAPTER 27: Surprise! Surprise!

It was me, Simone and Hainz sitting in the living room watching TV when we heard the door open and in walked a pissed off Anders.

"Get packed, we're leaving, now." He said as he continued hurrying towards the bedroom.

Me, Simone and Hainz look at each other with panicked looks on our faces.

They go into their room to start packing up and then next I head into our room seeing Anders quickly shoving everything into our bags.

I close the door behind me and walk towards him to start helping.

"What's going on?" I asked him.

"Nothing. We just need to leave." He says.

"I understand that but can you please tell me as to why?" I asked.

"Just...." He stops himself and takes in a breath then lets it out before continuing. "I fucked up." He says.

"How?" I asked.

"Just please trust me. I will explain everything once we leave but for now, I need for you to help me finish packing." He says and I start helping him pack then grab my purse as he takes my hand and we meet Simone and Hainz in the living room area.

"What's going on bro?" He asks.

"I will explain everything when we get on the plane." He exclaims once again before we follow him and start making our way downstairs and then headed to the airport where we got onto the first flight out and that happened to be back in the states but not at our condo and unfortunately, Hainz and Simone weren't sitting near us, they were several rows in front of us.

When we finally got onto the plane, before taking off, he had explained everything to Hainz and them and then they nodded their heads and looked back at me with sympathy before he started walking back to me.

"Okay, so what's going on?" I ask.

"Right now we are going to a place where my old buddy Lorenzo lives. We have to stay there for a while until I find out more." He starts to explain.

"What does that mean? I thought you were taking care of everything already?" I asked feeling confused.

"So did I but, as expected, Rogue made an offer that I refused to take. That's why Lorenzo offered his place for us to stay at." He confesses.

"Are we in danger?" U asked finding it difficult to finish that sentence.

He looks at me then down at his hands that are on his lap and nods in agreement.

"I'm so sorry." He begins to say.

I didn't know what to think. Well, I mean I did at first, as I asked myself what I had gotten myself mixed up into but then again, I quickly remind myself that none of this is really his fault and he isn't forcing me to stay or anything.

So I take his hand and enlace our fingers together.

"Don't be. I have to admit that this does scare me a little but, that doesn't mean I'm gonna run away from you or us. We'll get through this." I try to reassure him.

He doesn't say anything and instead just leans in to kiss me and holds the side of my face as I do with his and we start to kiss one another.

"I love you." He says.

"I love you too." I smile at him.

We both hold onto each other's hand all throughout the flight as we lean our heads against one another's to fall asleep.

Once the plane landed, we grabbed a taxi and started heading over towards Lorenzo's house.

When we arrived his car was parked in the driveway and I heard Anders sigh in relief.

"Good, he's here." He says.

He seems more relaxed now which I'm glad and we all can't wait to meet Lorenzo.

So we walk up and knock on the door at first and wait a moment. When there is no answer, Anders thinks it's cause he's asleep or something. So he tries calling his phone and it goes straight to voicemail.

Next he begins lifting up the plant by the door and in the soil is buried a key to the place.

He then puts it into the keyhole to unlock it and the minute we step inside, we sense something is wrong, but before any of us could say anything, we heard the door slam behind us and an all too familiar voice.

"It's about time you people made it."

Next chapter will be posted soon! Sorry it took me a while, yesterday I was finishing up finally with the editing of my first story I am editing and then will send it in for a cover and then go from there. And will let u know when it's up for sale. :);)
