4 - The Real Quiet One

I finished training, it was me against Cole and Kai, they were giving everything, and I was holding myself back. Since my Dragon's powers surface not even the 5 of them together can beat me.

Surprisingly enough the only one able to drop me nowadays is Ruby, but just because she would tricked me, and for her worth falling...

-"shall we soak into the old bell, Nya filled up early on" - Kai invite me.
-"no, I am going to surprise Ruby at the Medical School"
-"who are the love birds nowadays, hum?" - Cole teases me
-"yes we are...and not ashamed at all."

I quickly had a shower and got dressed. I open a portal to Medical School campus and walk to the build were her office is.

-"Hi, i am Lloyd, Doctor Ōkami's ..." I was about to say husband to the lady at the reception, but I stop myself "...boyfriend, can I go to her office, please?"
-"Are you the Green Ninja, aren't you?" - the lady asked with a smile.
-"Yes I am"
-"I am really sorry Lloyd, but she left already, around 40 minutes ago, I guess she was not expecting you here."
-"no, she was not, I was planning a surprise... Well, never mind."

I found odd Ruby leaving before the time she told me she would finish today. But, I guess she just got bored and decided to leave early. However, if she left 40 minutes ago, surely she would have made back home before I left unless she went elsewhere.

I tried her mobile but went straight to her voicemail. I suddenly have a very strange feeling, as if she was in Danger.

I opened another portal directly into the computer room back in the Monastery, no one was there, so I accessed the mainframe myself.

Pixal probably got some kind of notification that someone was messing around her systems, as she showed up just as I started the search.

-"what are you doing Masters Lloyd?" She asked me.
-"I don't want to sound paranoid but I am worried about Ruby, I am trying to find her."
-"She must be at the Medical school."
-"no... she is not. I have just been there, she left 40 minutes before I got there, time enough for her to be back here even before I left. She must have gone elsewhere, which is ok, but her mobile is off, and I cannot help this feeling of her being in danger..."
-"I see. You haven't spoken to her today at all, have you?"
-"since she left this morning, no, we only texted. Why?"
-"she called me around 11."

Pixal stop talking and I turned to face her, I knew she knew something I didn't.

-"come on Pixal, tell me what is going on."
-"she didn't want me to tell you, she wants to tell you herself."

For a second my wildest imagination run through 100s of possible explanations, being one of them... Gods...she is pregnant... I don't think I said that aloud as Pixal carried on talking, bringing me back to reality.

-"however, if you felt she'd be in danger, and knowing you two share a very strong connection, maybe I better tell you..."
-"ok Pixal, if you think I might be overreacting, you can keep her secret, I trust your judgment, and I don't want to spoil a surprise she might have for me."
-"oh, I am not sure what is going on in your mind, but is not like she is pregnant, that much I can assure you, she called me for something else."

I laughed nervously, I wasn't sure if I felt relieved or disappointed.

-"All right than Pixal, tell me everything."

As soon as I finished delivering my last lecture of the day I went to my office and check my tablet, Pixal had sent me the results of her search.

Nothing directly connected to any illegal or suspicious activity, a part of Doctor Saunders, the Museum curator, aka Kronix, one of the hands of time twins, as history teacher a few years back, but that was before Harumi join the school.

However, the pictures attached of teachers and staff of the school called my attention, I couldn't quite understand why, but I felt the faces all too familiar to me.

I am sure if I see those people from a short distance I can read through them and find out if they are friends or foes, something tells me they are not mortals, at least not from this realm.

I look at my watch, 4:15, I told Lloyd I would finish by 5:00, so If I leave now, I can pay a quick visit to the school and be back at Monastery before 5:00, Lloyd would even notice I went on a hunt without him...

I get out of the build and shapeshift to go as fast as possible.

They said that curiosity killed the cat, well, any idea what it did to The Wolf?

I never choose to possess Iva, she was innocent, pure and loved, and had none of the emotions I need to blend into her conscious mind.

Harumi was easy, on her anger she called for me and I gave her all the strength she needed, and together we become The Quiet One.

Thought, she was always in control of her own decisions, we became very much a single soul, she had enough reason to desire Lloyd's suffering, and I acknowledge Lloyd was Agape, Father's new incarnation, so I made her feelings worse and worked with her to execute her plans, not mine. Probably where things went wrong, I would never count on Garmadon myself, he is what we call an uncertain mind.

I would have killed Lloyd instead, It would have been easier before he met Mother, he was an easy target without his god's powers, even with his guardians around him.

Harumi, however, did consecutive mistakes, and there was nothing I could do to change her mindset. That is how she got herself killed.

I hadn't got a clue where Mother was on this existence, until she reached for me in the 'between worlds', while Harumi's body was hanging between life and death at the hospital and her spirit was trapped by Lloyd's affection for her and mine was trapped to hers.

Mother freed us, she knew I was there when she did. Harumi went with her parents to the spirit's realm, and I was again bound to the ghost form Father cursed me in. Before she did, she asked if I haven't changed my mind on acceptance of Father's bargain, my answer, again, was no.

However, when Mother, with Father's help, brought back Iva from the death, Big mistake breaking all rules they stand for. I was attracted by the strong beat of The Quiet One's heart and before I could do anything I was bound to Iva.

I was completely powerless on Iva's body, I needed Iva to wake for feelings that she didn't possess, and that is why I have been telling her my story. I've never needed to do that before, all my previous hostages had enough hate and deception in their hearts, Harumi never even noticed my presence, but Iva is different, and is taking me an entire year to corrupted her heart, and by doing that I am for the first time in control, as on her own will she has given me full control of her body.

The first thing I did, using Iva's body, was to silver tongue her friend Flynn to bring Mother to me. I know she will come all by herself to the school, she is so predictable.

When she does, myself and the rest of the Rebel gods and demigods will be waiting for her. And there is nothing Father can do to stop us this time.
