11 - Trust and Destine

I was mad, not at Pixal or even at the Ninja, but at myself for letting all this mess happened. Why have I been so stupid to even let them know it was a narrow hope of saving Zane?

Have I obeyed my father many years ago none of this would be happening first of all...

Misako came back, I can tell she has been travelling in time again, it wouldn't take her 2 weeks to pay a visit to Moridunum, I guess she needs my help to make sense of her last two trips to... who knows when? But, I find hard to let go of my anger.

After a few deep breaths.

-"Master Wu, please don't be mad at me."
-"Pixal, please, leave me alone with Misako for a while."
-"yes, Master Wu!"

I turned to talk to Misako, she was sitting on the floor, with her head down between her hands.

-"I am sorry I messed up."
-"well, I am sure it was not your intention, we need to find a way to fix now. I will prepare some traveler's tea, using Mistake's receipt..."
-"traveler's tea wouldn't take us there, or bring us back, we need to find another way."
-"if at least we haven't lost Leah, the Wolf I mean, her power would be strong enough to create a portal between the realms."
-"have you find anything in Moridunum?" She shakes her head in negative-"So... Where or when have you been?"
-"I have been with Garmadon."
-"oh, I didn't know the two of you keep in touch..." - she lifts a brown to me as
If telling me off for being jealousy, I could almost hear her thoughts...
-"not in the present... Wu. "
-"and you can remember?"
-"he taught me how."
-"how far back in time did you go to?"
-"23 years ago, I was pregnant for the first time. Anyway, Garmadon mentioned I used to keep a book/journal of my travelling, you wouldn't happen to know where is it by any chance, would you?"
-"as a matter of fact, yes I do know. You asked me to keep somewhere safe, where only we would be able to find."
-"Can I have it please?"
-"Sure"

I lead the way through a secret pathway under the monastery basement, she has been here before, but she can't remember.

-"here it is. I gave it to her."
-"thank you. What about your dairy, the one you keep about my visits from a different timeline?"
-"how do you know about that?"
-"in this alternate timeline where we have the Wolf, you told me, in fact you gave to me to read."
-"have I? So, I guess I have told you all about you making us to forget..." I said that picking up my dairy to give to her.
-"No everything, you told me the reason why I did, and that is enough, I am sure I wouldn't do any different."
-"I know you wouldn't."

We went back to the monastery kitchen, I made a pot of tea, and Misako prepared the traveler's tea recipe and placed all in a special pot.

-"where is the remember-tea you brought from Mistake's place?"
-"in the top cupboard. Are you going to take it?"
-"yes, I need to remember Wu, I need to remember everything..."

She leaves the room with the two books and a big cup of tea, and that was the last I saw of her for a few weeks.

23 years in the past...

Mistake's tea shop's phone is ringing, she hates it, but she doesn't need to answer to know it was her twin calling for her, instead she just throw the phone on the floor before shapeshift into a black bird and take off flying towards the Wolf nest.

The other side of the line:

-"I am not sure why she bored to get a phone first of all, she never answers anyway. Well, she is on her way, I can feel that."

The old lady talks to the newborn baby girl, cosy wrapped in her arms as if she could understand.

-"It is good to see you again Ama, and you look the cutest thing ever in a form of a human baby... Oh... Kataru is also in his way. Don't worry, soon we will figure out how to look after you."

Presente time in a far away Realm

[Akita]

I was awakened by a lighting, strange enough to a clear sky without any clouds. I got of the cave I used for sheltering last night and turned my attention to the purple red ball of fire crossing the twilight sky. What is it? I asked myself, maybe a meteor, my instincts tells to find out, so I quickly shifted my form and run after the fallen object.

It impacts in the ice cliff at the same time I reached its location, I observed for a while, I have never seen anything like that before, looked like an upside down boat but is huge and have wheels at the top, surely it is not from this realm.

I saw it tilting at the edge of the cliff, and for a moment I thought about trying to hold it down, but before I could move I heard the screaming of some human like creatures jumping out of the object. Two at once, them another two, and suddenly they all hold each other as they managed to rescue a fifth one, just before the entire boat like object fell from the top of the cliff.

I stay hidden, part of me wants to shift back to my human form and say hello, I haven't spoken to anyone for so long, but I need to know who they are first.

I followed them on a safe distance, I can hear they words, they talk a lot, I mean A LOT, specially the one in blue, they are cold and complaining to the one dressed in black, the same one they rescued, apparently he lost something important to all of them. That was when one of them, I guess their leader, told all of them off, and as he turned to where I was I have the firsts glimpse of his face...

For a second I felt faiting, his green eyes... he is the boy I keep seeing on my dreams, is that even possible?

He tells the others they need to go down the mountain to find shelter, but they started walking towards my village what is now dominant by the dark wolves, they will be in trouble as soon as the wolves get their scent. I need to make sure they are safe.

I saw when the wolves approached, the five strangers runaway, I watch from a distance until the green one felt down, his friends came to his rescue, at the same time as I jump just over them and hide myself behind the ice above the tree. Only the wolves could see me, I sent the wolves a sound only they can hear, and they obey me. The wolves respect me as they believe I am the reincarnation of their goddess Amaterasu.

The five look at each other a bit confused, trying to understand why the wolves did not attack. I didn't move keeping myself hidden.

They walked towards what used to be my village, and see my people frozen, I heard they talking about rescue them, and for a moment I believed I could trust them, if they were considering saving my people. The female one said they are still alive, maybe there's still hope... I could feel my tears washing my face.

Suddenly their small device started beeping, they walked towards the lake village. But I know they will have to face an even bigger pack of wolves, so I decided to call for help.

The people of the forest, or my kind: the formlings, have for ages been averse to any friendly relationship to the people of the lake, historically the people from the lake betrayed the formling.

But, their elder, Sorla, is a good woman, and although I have never showed her my true form, she has always been kind to me, she feeds me, and she understands wolf language, it is as if somehow she knows who I am, but she respects my will to keep it secret. Still, I trust nobody but her. I quickly reach out to her, and let her know of the five income strangers, and she sent three people to find and rescue them.

I was about to stop the wolves attacking them again, however, just before I interfere the five strangers started fighting the wolves, and they displayed some kind of power I have seen before, and that scared me, a lot, maybe I was wrong, maybe they can not be trusted. The lake people arrived, with arrows the dispersed the wolves and taken the strangers to Sorla. I stay close watching, as I was afraid they could harm Sorla and her people, and that would be all my fault.
