He wiped the tears of his face, and with a strength that I have no idea where is coming from, he moves towards the mech.

-"I may not be half the builder you are, Zane, but I'm twice as stubborn. And I will get this thing working, if it's the last thing I do! That's a promise!"

I just watched him with admiration.
-"Right? You with me?" He asked me.

'Sure I am' I barked to show him I was.

He must be hungry and tired, I know I am, and ate his last fish, but nothing would stop him, how can he keep going the way he does?

What is about Lloyd that I can't take my eyes off him. As a formling I had learnt one's body is just another form our souls can take, and that is what I am so connect to, his soul seems to call for mine, and the attraction towards him is difficult to contain.

He worked really hard for hours, fixing a few gadgets with his Energy, and tests out some buttons, he wouldn't stop. Between talking to mech, himself and me, he wouldn't shut up either, the boy talks, like A LOT. Nevertheless, I like hearing his voice.

-"Come on, come on. "- He goes back to the hood and examines it carefully.
-" Battery's dead. No wonder he couldn't fix it. I wonder?"- He attaches the jumper cables to the battery.

For a while I was so tired I started dosing to the sound of his voice.

-"hey Red, wake wake.."
-"oh come on honey, let me sleep."
-"you lazy Red, you don't want to be late for your first day as Professor, do you? "
-"oh... I forgot all about... gosh, your body is so warm... have you been training already?."
-"u-hum... I bet you don't want to leave without your newlywed husband's kisses either, do you??
-"no, I don't... only kisses... really??"
-"what else do you want from me, my adorable wolf girl?"

-"Here goes nothing. Look Red! I did it!" - Lloyd screamed from inside the mech.

I jumped on my feet, I must have slept, have I been dreaming? He scared me from inside the mech, and I backed up a bit, while he jumped out of the cave where the ice bird has been waiting for us.

I watched from inside, for a moment I was afraid he would hurt the bird. But even know he was fierce, he was also careful enough to not hurt the bird.

-"Want some of me?! Come and get it, you overgrown parakeet!"- The bird takes off into the air and dives at Lloyd, latching itself onto the Mech's arm. Lloyd tosses it back and it takes off into the air and dives at him again.

-" Oh, no you don't!" He presses a button and the Mech catches the bird. It scratches the Mech.

-"I'm trying hard not to hurt you, but I hope this thing's a bet! "- The Mech swings the bird around and slams it against a rock. It screeches angrily.

-"Sinking in yet? I am not your next meal!" He slices a boulder and the Ice Bird flies away, terrified. Lloyd sighs. The bird screeches.

-" It's safe." He tells me, but I am still scared. "You can come out. Come on. Hop aboard."

He extends the mech's arm for me and I slowly approached him.

-"It won't hurt you, I promise. We'll be able to move a lot faster this way. Come on."

I sniff the mech hand, give him a look as if telling him: 'I trust you'.

-"Ready, pal? Here we go." I agreed excitedly, barking to him.
