Kim woke up in the middle of the night, she was still in the infirmary bed. Beside the bed, the black ninja was sleeping very uncomfortable in an armchair. She told him to go to his bedroom, or at least take the bed from the room adjacent, but he refused to leave her alone. He tried to squeeze himself on the same bed, and she actually fell asleep with him by her side, but his big frame did not fit well, and he moved to the armchair.
After taking in her surroundings Kim tried to make sense of time, and why she was suddenly feeling as if the air was colder than normal.
Part of her powers, that Sensei Wu has been working hard with her to unlock, is the ability to feel the temperature and the smallest of changes in the air on her surroundings. And that is exactly what has woken her up, something or someone is moving inside the Monastery grounds. She inhaled deeply, focussing her power feeling every possible shift around her.
She tried to think logically, the cutting edge security system Pixal has created to protect the Monastery would have alerted them, she exhaled, calming herself... Unless... she held her breath re-thinking her conclusion, as the shift in the air became closer than before... Shadows....
-"Cole, wake!"
-&-
She suddenly opened her eyes, they feel differently as if she was in her wolf form, she jumped out of the bed, something didn't feel right she was definitely in her wolf form, Ama woke her up, she wouldn't do that unless she was in danger.
Akita scanned the room, Lloyd is sleeping peacefully, nothing out of ordinary, but her senses wouldn't betray her, and right now they are telling her to protect Lloyd.
She nosed his face, his first instinct was to hug her, but he soon realised she was in her wolf form...
-"Red... what's happened."
She doesn't change her form to answer his question, she just forced her head against his chest, he held her neck, and she pushed him out of bed on a fast move at the same time a sharp blade snapped against the place where he was sleeping.
As soon as Akita landed away from the attack, Lloyd jumped on his feet projecting his power against whatever had attacked him. However, to their surprise as soon as his power hit the shadow-like creature, a few more appeared in their room.
-"shadow warriors... how do they find us?"
Akita understands his power seems to only attract more of those creatures and her senses are still telling her to take Lloyd away from there.
-"what are you doing, Red?" He asked her when she forcefully dropped him over her back, come on Lloyd, she can't explain right now, just trust her, she thinks, that moment in time she wished he could hear her thoughts.
The way he felt over her back he held to her neck again, and that was all she needed from him. She jumped on the bed, over the shadows and through the half-open window, scratching the rooftop with her claws. Lloyd held tightly to her back thinking 'what the crazy girl is doing now?' of course he forgot she could hear it.
Akita headed to the courtyard, where Cole was running out of the infirmary, Kim by his side still not fully recovered.
-"Lloyd, Akita... Kim believes we are under attack."
-"she is right" Lloyd said jumping off on his feet while Akita shit back to humans."Shadow warriors. They are in my bedroom" Lloyd explained at the same time he quickly tapping his finger on his smartwatch, and suddenly the Monastery alarm started to beep.
-"Shadow warriors? Are they not just a manifestation of your father's power?"
-"My father had temporary control over them, yes, but they belong to the shadow master. I don't think my father is behind this attack."
-"Do you think this has anything to do with Kim's attack last morning?" Akita asked Lloyd, making Cole move into a very protective position taking Kim under his arms.
-"I do not know, Red! Maybe. it is too much of a coincidence, don't you think?"
