39 - Dreams or Memories

[Lloyd]

-"Lloyd ... you haven't told me yet what has happened when you jumped into the portal.." Akita asked me as we walked towards the Temple.

-"sorry Red, I forgot, well...

{Flashback - Lloyd POV}

I gave one last look to Akita before entered the portal, just in front of me I could see when Cole landed in the Monastery's courtyard, everyone was there, they were gathering to celebrate the reunion, I saw Zane with Pixal in his arms. 'Mission accomplished', I said to myself, happy to see them together, however, my heart aches by the thought of Akita tearful eyes I left behind.

-"what am I doing? I can't just leave her! She is the girl I have been dreaming of."

I turned back, but couldn't reach the gate, it closed on me, I realised the portal walls were fading, so I try to reach Ninjago, but it also closed.

There was an emptiness, everything was standing still, there were air and some gravity keeping me grounded, but that was it, nothing else.

-"ok... anybody there... "

The only answer was the echo of my own voice.

-"holy- moly... what now?"

I started looking into my pockets to see if find something, anything to give an idea of what to do.

the camera... no battery, no memory... no use at all.

sweets, caramels, I'd stolen from Cole last night.

A ring... my mother's wedding ring... silly thought... but...

-"Mom... please, I need you!" I repeat a few times... who am I kidding, she can't hear me, no one can...

Meanwhile at the Monastery

-"what is going on, Pixal?"
-"There is a portal opening on the courtyard, we think is the Ninja, Misako."

Misako was getting ready to try to reach the Never realm by herself, but if that is right, and she really hopes it is, she wouldn't need to go for extremes.

Misako walked outside just after Pixal and Wu, she watched from a distance when Nya and Jay jumped out of the portal, and them Kai and Zane... Zane is back, they did it, they managed to rescue him. She smiled proud of them.

But, talking about pride... where is her son? The portal is still open, maybe he is just making sure everybody is in first.

Cole is the next.

-"where is Lloyd?" Wu asked.
-"he is just behind me" Cole answered, spotting Kimberly the other side, they smile at each other. Before she runs towards him.

Suddenly the gate closes...

-"did you see Lloyd getting in the Portal, Cole, are you sure?" Kai asked
-"yes, I am sure... he was literally just behind me when I got out."
-"guys... do you think he went back, you know, because of Akita??" Nya asked the boys.
-"maybe..." Kai said scratching his head and checking where the portal was seconds ago.
-"who is Akita?" Wu asked.
-"a very brave wolf girl, she helps Lloyd to find me, together they saved me..."
-"a wolf you said, Zane? How does she look like?" Misako came close to ask Zane.
-"On her wolf form, she is white, red marks, and three tails... on her... well... Instead of describing her I can just show you." Zane stops talking and projects the images from his memory drive.
-"it is Ruby... it is her... he found her..." Misako said to Wu, but everyone else heard.
-"who is Ruby?" Jay asked first the question everyone was thinking of.
-"long story... let's just said that they meant to find each other and be together."
-"wow... like soulmates?" Cole asked. Misako nodded back.
-"I knew she was the mysterious girl. But, if he went back for her, how are we going to see him again?"
-"I don't think we are..." Nya said, holding her brother's shoulder. -"are we?" She turns back to asked Misako.
-"yes... but... ought!" Misako held her head, dropping on her knees and falling on the floor.
