The memories kept clashing together. His own father hit him with iron rods and said harsh words to him. School was no different as bullies kept pestering him because of his ruthless father. People avoided him like the plague, he was malnourished, abused, under treated , all because of this man. The said man kept hitting him with the rod, his frail skin tearing at every impact. His cries and tears fell on deaf ears as this man beat him up for pleasure.

"Father please... Stop! STOP!"

My eyes shot open and I sat up only to discover I was on my bed and I was sweating profusely.

Well, am I? It's been two weeks since I moved and everything seems to be fine. I got closer to the clique and I've even been on a date with Shelia, can my life get better? Ayo is my closest friend so far, his parents even call me their son and it makes me happy.

I got up and prepared for school. I wore a simple white long sleeved button down shirt on blue jean trousers/pants (whichever you prefer) and wore my contacts. I grabbed a toast and went outside where Ayo was waiting in the green convertible he named Ite. He wore his hoodie as usual and his signature smile which made girls swoon and boys jealous. I swear he has fangs, I really swear it.

"Logan, I know I'm hot but I'm not into guys." His voice brought me out of my thoughts.

"For all we know and don't know, you could be gay." I joked as I buckled my seat belt.

"I don't know, am I gay?!" He seemed to think about his sexuality for a while but he smiled. "Nah, I just don't have it as a priority yet. When I'm older, I'll get a girlfriend." He started the engine. I looked back and I saw a pet carrier. I questioned him about it.

"Oh, I'm taking Pandora to the vet. She's sick and I'm so worried, I think I'd get sick too." He explained with a pained expression on his face. Said guy should just marry a feline and adopt as many cats as possible.
