Scarlet did not need to search long before she found Bara or technically speaking, Bara found her. She demanded to be led to the rooftop where they could have some alone time and privacy. Bara blushed hard when Scarlet bluntly asked her question;

"Bara, do you like me?"

Meanwhile, Phyllis and Jordan caught Logan and Ayo's attention and were followed to the rooftop to eavesdrop on Scarlet's rejection.

The girl in glasses shyly nodded. "I actually envied you when I first saw you. You were so handsome and you were smart but nobody dared bully you like they do me." She softly explained, shutting her eyes as she let all her bottled up emotions free. "After you saved me, it turned to admiration and respect, and now, I love you, senior Scarlet . Everybody may say you are mean but underneath you are an angel. You helped me find my self-esteem and now I smile confidently with my braces, and I gladly show off what I'm made of."

Scarlet closed her eyes and sighed, man is she going to be disappointed. "I can not reciprocate those feelings." She bluntly stated, tearing the heart of the nerd into a million pieces.

"W-why?" Bara's voice shook. Did 'he' play her all this while to make fun of her? Was 'he' only using her as his plaything?!

"Bara, I am..."

"...not interested in girls."

Every body faced Ayo simultaneously as he stepped out of the shadows, exposing himself and the other eavesdroppers to Scarlet's wrath. However, Bara seemed interested in what Ayo was saying and raised a questioning eyebrow. Does this mean...

"I have been listening and when I noticed how uncomfortable it would get afterwards, I decided to butt in rudely. So, Scarlet as you can see does not have any interest in girls. As you see everyday, our friend here hangs out with the guys of our gang and gets along better with them, kinda like me in that sense, yeah we are sorta the same but don't say stuff like we were meant to be or something like that, it is weird when people say cheesy stuff like meant for each other, or soulmates..."

As Ayo rambled on and on, Phyllis's mouth hung low on its hinges as Ayo unwittingly implied that they were gay and dating (no offence to gay people). Logan face palmed and Jordan was about to explode from laughter. Scarlet on the other hand was fuming with anger towards the hooded guy, how the heck is he second place?!

"Shut up!" She snapped. "Keep going like that and the whole world will know that we are gay lovers!" She sarcastically scolded but someone did not quite take the sarcasm well. It took a while but Scarlet realized how wrong that sounded. She spun around and looked at Bara who was already retreating from the 'harsh reality.'

"No, Bara..." She started.

"No it's okay, I mean, no wonder why senior Ayo is single, no one would've thought of you two secretly dating. You're both hot and all, so yeah, I will be fine." Bara cut in while backing out.

"Wait, why am I being dragged into this?… Oh!" Realization hit him like a baseball bat. "No Bara, it's not what it seems..."

"It's okay, I won't tell anyone."

"No..." It was too late, she was gone like the wind. Scarlet's eye twitched and everybody especially Ayo started backing out before she exploded in a volcano of rage.

"YOU SON OF A MEAR AYO!"

The echoes of her scream reached Ayo who was currently hiding in the comfort room. Being her caretaker and guardian during school hours, Logan calmed her down magically and formulated a plan to get rid of the misunderstanding.

"On the competition day, why not announce that you're a girl and save yourself from stress?" He suggested and she grumpily agreed. By the way, the rooftop looks like a storm hit it and Logan looks like he was hell and back. He's gets paid for it anyway.

"Sunny."

Logan halted when he heard the name Scarlet addressed him as. He turned back, raising a brown eyebrow in question as she pocketed her hands arrogantly to keep her cold facade.

"What did you call me?"

"Help me to the bus." She demanded, eluding the question he asked.

"Why should I?" Logan tried to keep calm. He planned to walk Shelia home after their team gathering but his 'boss' had called it.

"I asked you to." She simply made the fact clear that she was the boss.

"Aw come on, I have to walk Shelia to the bus stop and then I have work..."

"...so?" Logan's eye twitched at her bossiness. Angrily, he called Shelia and explained that his boss needed him– a half truth and she went with Sharon instead. He walked Scarlet to the bus stop and as he was about to leave, Scarlet asked, more like commanded him to follow her home.

It annoyed Logan to no end but he obeyed although he got suspicious when she suddenly held on to the back of his shirt and followed his exact footsteps. He decided to investigate that later as she was being too annoying now.

The next day, she was not in school but no one paid mind to it since they figured that she might just be cutting school again as usual. The next day after that however, Asa called Logan and told him that Scarlet was not picking up her calls and that she had been missing for some days now. Logan didn't go to work that day because he was helping Asa find the rebel but she could not be found.
