RRRIIIIINGGG!
God, it's like the stupid alarm gets louder after each ring. I didn't even set it in the first place. Lazily, I stirred in my king sized bed and flung the alarm clock across the room, I'd get another one later.
Finally, I can rest...
I glared at my phone, which wouldn't stop ringing, angry with myself for not switching it off before I went to bed. Lazily, I stood up and switched it off, then I collapsed into my warm and cozy bed.
Sleep...I wish it would really come so easily for me.
I winced at the noise of the doorbell ringing in my ear and sighed. The only person in this world that has the guts to disturb me like this is none other than Asa, my nanny. She's been taking care of me since I was six and she knows everything about me. Slowly, I made my way out of my room and weathered through all the stairs till I finally reached the freaking door.
"Scarlet!" She screams in horror when she sees me still in pajamas. I know I am supposed to be ready for school but I did not feel like it today. I snorted at that thought. I don't feel school at all, never have and never will. It has become a habit to go late, leave early, ditch class and get a Guinness record of detention tickets and punishment points. My cousin taught me that it is okay to sometimes break rules. The only thing keeping me in that school is the fact that my father is the sole sponsor of that shit hole. My cousin also taught me the cuss word.
"Scarlet Fredrickson, you are late for school! It's Monday for Pete's sake!! What do I tell your father?! He's paying a visit to the school!" Asa rants while she quickly prepares sandwiches for me.
"Tell him I'm dead." I said as I went upstairs but not before catching Asa's surprised gasp.
"You just used sarcasm!" She screamed in horror. "You're spending too much time with Brandon!" I blinked at her and dragged myself to the bathroom for a nice long shower, much to Asa's disapproval. I wore my normal outfit, a red button down short sleeved shirt which was bigger than me and loose pants which stopped at my shin. I wore sneakers to match and combed my short and unruly scarlet hair. I'm sure you can guess where my name comes from now.
I looked at myself in the gigantic mirror and sighed. I was never like her in any way. I had short hair and green eyes, she had long silky hair and seafoam eyes. She was beautiful and I was...me.
I shook the thought off and went downstairs. Grabbing a sandwich pack and stuffing it in my empty bag, I grabbed my keys and went to the garage to retrieve my beauty.
Oh no no, I don't fancy cars. I'm more of a bike person. I wore my red helmet, got on my red motorcycle and zoomed off, leaving Asa to do the rest. I know I didn't say 'goodbye' but I also clearly remember not saying 'good morning' either.
I pulled in to the parking lot and went into the place. It is funny how the once bubbly and lively school grew silent at my presence but I am used to it. You see, other than being a rebel (at least in my own standards), I'm not a friendly person either. I don't hesitate to throw punches given that I once engaged in underground fighting and boxing activities. My father stopped me when I was caught and now I just vent my anger on anything I see.
I walked down the hallway to my locker, the whispers didn't go unnoticed as I did.
"He's here! The scarlet devil."
"So lucky to have the director on his side"
"Ugh! Can't wait till I leave this school, I can't stand the sight of him."
"His father should take him to a private school, he should just get out of here!"
I smirked internally as I listened but kept my emotionless facade, I was never hurt by their comments. Then I started hearing excited remarks and frowned hard, they can't be talking about me.
"Oh-M-gee! Carla look, he's so HOT!"
"God, he's so sexy!"
"He's like the pale version of Ayo!"
"Hey." I heard a calm and surprisingly sweet to hear voice behind me.
"His voice is so...I could die!"
'I can help with that.' I thought and gave a small snort.
"Hey! Can you help me locate the principal's office? I'm pretty lost." I heard it speak again.
"Why is he talking to HIM?!"
"Of all people to ask, he asked Scarlet for help!"
I raised a brow, me?! Sure enough when I turned around, I saw a brunette smiling brightly at me. It was the first time in forever anyone other than her smiled at me.
I gave him a once over and made my way to the locker where I picked my books. Not that I use them but I cover my face with them when I 'sleep' in class. Speak of class, I walked in and sat at my seat near the window. I chose that seat cause I can jump out when I want.
It is super scary but I try to suppress the thrills each time I jump. I ate my sandwich silently still thinking about the boy's smile and her.
