"You guys I am not feeling good. Vivaan is busy, so I need you to drop me off home." Aaliyah came in Anya's room and told me. Her face says it all. She is definitely not well.
"What is it?" I asked, as I walked to her.
"I was not feeling well since the morning but I had to come for you."
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"Because its your day. I didn't wanna ruin it."
"Aaliyah! Lets go! Where is everyone?" I said as I led her out, Anya followed us close behind.
"Your parents left. Ansh's parents have gone out for something I can't remember. God my stomach hurts Kiara!"
I panicked and sat her down on the couch. Shit!
"Anya get some water. I'll go get Ansh. And you Aaliyah call Vivaan."
"No. I am not calling him. I am fine. I'm sure its braxton hicks. Its normal. I am not disturbing him from work."
"Fine. But I am taking you to the hospital." I said and went inside to find Ansh while Anya gave Aaliyah some water.
"Ansh?" I said and saw him standing at the balcony. He turned around amd gave me his beautiful smile.
"Hey!"
"What are you doing here alone?"
"Nothing. Mom and dad just left a few minutes ago. I was just savouring this beautiful weather before we go home."
The weather was indeed beautiful.
"Oh. You need to come with me."
"Oh but baby I like it when you come first."
He teased. I rolled my eyes at his dirty sense of humour.
"Ha. I need you to come outside. We have to take Aaliyah to the hospital. She is not feeling well."
The smile wiped from his face. "Okay." He said and we walked outside just when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." Anya said and ran to open the door.
"Will you be able to walk Aaliyah?" Ansh asked Aaliyah.
"I think so." She said her face contorted with agony.
I was about to help Aaliyah up when the familiar voice came from the doorway and Ansh and I both turned to look at the source.
"Why weren't you picking my call? I was worried." Aarav said right before he leaned in and placed a small kiss on Anya's cheek.
That doesn't seem inappropriate. It can be a friendly thing, right? Ansh can't find out about the Anya and Aarav before they both figure shit out and also not when my best friend is in so much pain.
I chanced a glanced at Ansh. He was rooted at his place staring at Aarav. Oh my god. I don't know what's going to happen now?
"I was busy. Come in." Anya said with a small voice. She is afraid. Of course she is.
Time to step in. "Ansh, we need to get her to the hospital." I said to Ansh.
Ansh broke his stare and looked at me. I shook telling him not to say anything now.
"Busy in what?" Aarav said just before he finally spotted all of us. He stopped in his track and stared at us. I swallowed.
"Guys, please take me home!" Aaliyah whined.
"Yes. Right." I picked her up. "Ansh get the keys." I said to Ansh but before I could walk past Aarav, he came and stood right in front of me.
I could sense a seething Ansh right behind me. God, my best friend are having contractions and he wants to talk!!!
"Aarav I don't have time for this right now-" I started but he cut me off.
"Look, it'll just take 2 minutes. I don't know if I'll get another chance or courage to tell you that I am so sorry. It was wrong of me to say what I said. I don't for a second think that way about you. You are a good woman Kiara and I was just hurt so I said that bullshit. Please accept my apology." Aarav said in a single breath.
"Oh for fucks sake. To hell with the apology. Get me to the hospital!" Aaliyah shouted at all of us.
No words were exchanged as we kicked into action. I sat beside Aaliyah in the back seat and Anya also joined along with Aarav who took the passenger seat as Ansh pulled away from the curb.
God help me, what the hell is going on? How did my engagement day turned into this?!
I was just about to tell Aarav that I accept his apology as we drove in the city traffic to reach the hospital when Aaliyah squeezed my hand she was holding so tight, I think she broke some bones.
"Call Vivaan! Its worse. Its worse than braxton hicks. Oh god."
Ansh curse from the front seat and Anya tried to calm Aaliyah down as I called Vivaan.
After telling him, the car pulled off as we  all rushed in the hospital and the nurse came running to take Aaliyah on the wheel chair.
I stood right by her side as they took her in the room. They shoved me out of the room moments later and I looked at the pained face of my bestfriend.
Oh god! Where is Vivaan? I called him again.
"Fuck." I texted him to come soon when he didn't pick up.
"Calm down Kiara." Ansh's voice came from behind me. I turned and looked at him.
"You are shaking. Don't panick. She is going to be okay." Ansh said rubbed my forearms trying to soothe me.
"She is still 8 weeks away from the delivery. I don't know how-"
Ansh cut me off as he pulled me in his arms. I hugged him back.
"You really do love each other."
Aarav. This guy is really fucking stupid! This is not the time asshole! I wanted to shout but instead I acted as a mature person and released Ansh and looked at Aarav standing there in the Hospital lobby with us as he held on Anya's hand like boyfriends do. I don't even know if he is aware of what he is doing.
"Yes we do Aarav. And I accept your apology." I said in order to distract Ansh. Don't want him to see the obvious closeness between Anya and Aarav. He will flip out.
"Thank you so much Kiara." Aarav said and simultaneously Ansh asked, "why are you holding her hand?"
My breath caught in my lungs as Anya tried to remove her hand from Aarav's grip but he didn't losen it or let her go instead he looked in Ansh's eyes. Oh my god! He has a death wish!
"Because she is mine to hold."
"Fuck!" I cursed just as Anya said, "its not the right time."
Ansh didn't get him for a second but then suddenly it clicked. I saw it in his face. He looked between his sister and Aarav and his face turned red.
"She is yours to hold? Are you fucking kidding me?" Ansh said and took a intimidating step towards Aarav.
Oh god! Why do they had to come here?! My best friend is struggling in a hospital bed and I am sure they are both going to start fighting any minute.
Fuck my life. I don't know how to handle this.
