Preparing a Test

"Okay Minimus, take me to the castle so nothing looks suspicious when I get home, after you take me to the castle head home," Sofia tells her horse.

"Okay Sofia," Minimus says flying to the castle.

"To Enchancia," Sofia tells the coachman who whips the reins and makes the horses fly into the sky.

 "Sofia," Amber says as her sister lands and gets out of the coach.

"Amber, I thought you were helping Hildy with the Melon Ball," Sofia says walking to her sister.

"She didn't really need me, how was the play?" Amber asks.

"We didn't go," Sofia sighs.

"Why not? There is no way Clio would miss a play."

"Prisma," Sofia sighs again.

"I thought you defeated Prisma," Amber says.

"She got a new Terra Crystal and attacked Corinthia," Sofia says as she and Amber walk back into the castle.

"Is everyone okay?" Amber asks.

"Everyone is fine, Clio is leading reconstruction of the damaged village and she has what it takes to be a good protector," Sofia says.

"So, is she going to be your nominee?" Amber asks closing the door to her room.

"I don't know, Hugo and Lucinda have what it takes too. I don't want to hurt anybody," Sofia says as she plops herself on Amber's bed.

"I want to help you," Amber says.

"That would be great but let me check with Vega and Orion," Sofia says sitting back up and whipping her wrist to activate her Enchantlet.

"Okay," Amber says.

"Orion, Vega, you there?" Sofia asks.

"Sofia, what can we do for you," Vega asks.

"I have more than one person who I think would be a good protector, can I have my sister help me choose?" Sofia asks again.

"You can have your sister help but you have to make the final decision," Vega says.

"I understand."

"Good luck Sofia," Orion says.

"That helped but it didn't at the same time," Sofia says.

"What do you mean?"

"You are able to help me but I don't know how to choose," Sofia says.

"Maybe we can do a mock test," Amber suggests.

"What do you mean?"

"You said that you had to pass a test to get your Enchantlet, maybe we can make a similar test that Hugo, Clio, and Lucinda can take."

"Everything I had to do won't be as bad compared to what they added."

"What did they add?"

"A challenge that involves Prisma," Sofia says in a dramatic tone.

"Prisma, but you are the only one who could defeat her."

"I know but it seems as if Prisma is not only targeting Enchancia but all of the Ever Realm," Sofia says.

"You have a point," Amber says.

"And I can't ask Clio to help because it's not a 'Princess thing'."

"Sofia if there is one thing I know it's this, ever since you became a princess you have changed everyone for the better. I could always see in Clio's eyes that she didn't like being a sidekick to Hildy even though she pretended to be and didn't say anything. The truth is that I felt bad not standing up for her. Don't give up on Clio and think that she won't do this just because it isn't something princesses don't really do," Amber says encouraging Sofia not to give up.

"Okay, but how are we going to keep score on the test," Sofia says.

"Maybe we can track it on a piece of paper," Amber says heading over to her desk and grabbing parchment and a quill.

"What are you doing?" Sofia asks.

"Making a table," Amber says as she puts the names horizontal and the tasks vertical.

"That is a great idea, but remember we have to have a time limit because they have to get their Enchantlet by sun set."

"They will have a 10 minute maximum," Amber says.

"Okay," Sofia says taking a deep breath.

The dinner bell rings.

"Let's go to dinner then straight to bed, we have a busy day tomorrow."
