Helping a Friend

Amber is woken up by her sister's scream.

"Sofia, are you okay?" Amber asks when she sees her sister breathing heavily.

"I had a nightmare," Sofia says.

"It's okay Sofia, it's only a dream, I'm right here," Amber says hugging her sister.

"I think I need warm milk," Sofia says trying to calm down.

"I will get it for you," Amber says going to the rope to ring the bell.

Amber pulls the rope and walks back to her sister.

"Yes, ma'am, you rang," Violet says arriving at the doorway.

"Sofia had a nightmare and can't sleep, can we get some warm milk?" Amber asks as she comforts her sister.

"Right away," Violet gives a curtsy.

"It will be okay Sofia," Amber says.

Violet comes back into the room.

"Here you go Miss," Violet says giving Sofia a cup.

"Thanks," Sofia says taking the cup.

"Is there anything else I can do?" Violet asks.

"Did my mom teach you the lullaby Lavender Blue?" Sofia asks.

"No, she didn't Miss, but I know the song it was my favorite as a kid," Violet says.

"Will you sing it to me? It helps me after a nightmare," Sofia requests giving Violet the empty cup.

"Of course Miss," Violet says before singing.

When Violet starts singing Sofia lays back down and closes her eyes. She can feel Amber laying down next to her.

Sofia wakes up to Mia and Robin chirping, or what it would sound like to Amber.

"Sofia, wake up. We got word that Clio is almost finished with her kingdom but there are some big things that they are unsure about," Robin says.

Just then her Enchantlet goes off.

"Sofia, you there?" Clio's voice comes from the Enchantlet.

"Clio, how is everything?" Sofia says picking up her Enchantlet.

"Good, but we seem to have a problem. Giz and Harrumph were putting the roof on the school but it fell and broke into a lot of pieces."

Clio shows the damage.

"And one of the shops that Prisma destroyed was the store with the building supplies," Clio says turning the Enchantlet back to her.

"We will be right there," Sofia says.

Sofia jumps out of bed.

"Amber, wake up. We have to help Clio fix her village," Sofia says to her sister.

"Okay, I will go change," Amber says getting up and going to her room.

"Sof, is everything okay?" Clover asks when Sofia goes into her closet and changes into her protector outfit.

"Corinthia needs my help, I better ask dad if he will help too," Sofia tells Clover as she walks out of her room.

Sofia walks through the castle to try and find the king.

"Suzette, have you seen my dad?" Sofia asks.

"No Miss, but ask Baileywick."

"Thanks," Sofia says as they go their separate ways.

Sofia finds Baileywick in the dining hall.

"Baileywick," Sofia calls running up to him.

"Is everything okay Sofia?" Baileywick asks.

"Do you know where my dad is? I need to talk to him."

"He is in the throne room," Baileywick says.

"Thanks," Sofia says as she rushes out of the dining hall.

Sofia runs to the throne room where her dad is reading a piece of paper.

"Dad, do you have a second?"

"Of course Sofia, what's going on?" The king says putting the piece of paper down.

"Corinthia needs help, one of their villages was damaged and their building store is destroyed so they don't have any lumber, can we take some over to Corinthia?" Sofia asks.

"Of course, take a flying coach and here is some money to pay for the lumber," the king says giving her a bag of coins.

"Thanks Dad," Sofia hugs him.

"I will have Baileywick get a coach ready."

"Thanks again Dad," Sofia says heading out of the room with the bag of coins.

Sofia runs to Amber's room.

"Amber, are you ready?" Sofia asks knocking on the door.

There is no answer.

"That's weird," Sofia says taking a step backwards.

She runs to her room to see if Amber is cuddling Clover.

"Amber?" Sofia asks walking into her room.

"Yes Sofia?" Amber asks.

"Are you ready?" Sofia asks.

"But I don't want to leave this cute little bunny," Amber says cuddling Clover.

"We are going shopping first," Sofia has a sing-song tone.

"Let's go," Amber says putting Clover down on the window seat.

Amber and Sofia go to the courtyard where a flying coach is waiting.

"To the Dunwiddie Lumber Shop please," Sofia requests after she and Amber are in the coach.

The coach arrives at the lumber shop.

"I will be right back," Sofia says taking the bag of coins that the king gave her.

Sofia walks into the shop.

"Hi Sofia," Ruby calls out.

"Hi Ruby, is your dad busy?" Sofia asks walking up to the counter.

"No, I will go get him," Ruby says walking into the back.

"Princess Sofia, how are you?"

"I'm doing good Mr. Hanshaw," Sofia replies.

"What can I do for you?"

"We are helping rebuild a village in the kingdom of Corinthia, we need enough supplies to build the roof of a school."

"I can definitely do that. It's a good thing you're royalty now, if you were still a shoemaker it would be very expensive," Mr. Hanshaw laughs.

"Is this enough?" Sofia asks putting the bag on the counter.

"It will be a little bit more than that," Mr. Hanshaw replies.

"Amber, can you go back home and ask dad for more money?" Sofia asks.

"Princess, Baileywick made sure that you had enough," the coachman grunts as he puts a chest down.

"That will definitely be enough," Mr. Hanshaw says.

"Thank you so much," Sofia says as Mr. Hanshaw puts the supplies in the coach.

"Good luck Sofia, tell Clio hi for me," Ruby waves as the two princesses fly to Corinthia.
