Julius

LEENA POV

The boy moved his gaze to Cain head tilted slightly as if he was trying to solve a difficult puzzle.

"Cain?"

Cain's smile was wider than I ever seen. then he launched himself onto the boy and hugged him tightly.

THe boy tensed before he reciprocated. 

They stared at one another  for an uncomfortable amount of time

Neither said a word. They simply stared until the boy, Julius I'm assuming broke the stare off

"I can't believe your here"

Cain smiled at him

"Im so glad I found you"

Suddenly Julius focused back on me as If he only just remembered I was still here

Cain turned to me too 

"Oh...this is Leena she helped me get here to find you"

Julius continued to study me assessing if I were a threat or trustworthy

I had lowered my bow but did not put it away yet

I nodded at him

He looked away from me and back to Cain

"What happened???? you never came back, mom and dad they......."

His face shuttered with sorrow

Cain hugged him and his own breathing labored as he fought to quell his emotions over his parents' demise

I stood uncomfortably out of place. feeling like I was intruding on a private moment

After a few minutes Julius cleared his throat and moved away from Cain

"How have you been ju ju" 

He smiled at the nickname.

"I been ok, could be better"

"I'm so sorry I wasn't here, they took me and wouldn't let me leave. I had to escape. As soon as I did I came straight here looking for you" he explained 

Julius only nodded

"I've heard about those places they take the "plagued" he visibly shivered

"I wouldn't want to be taken there" he said looking at Cain apologetically

"No you would not" Cain agreed

"Hey" Julius smiled brightly  "I have a surprise for you, come on" 

Cain looked stunned at his words for a second before he turned to face me gesturing for me to follow

I looked hesitantly at Julius 

Cain walked up to me and touched my hands that still held tightly to the bow. His expression was one of affection and fondness

So I carefully, reluctantly put it away and walked after Julius and Cain

We came to a large empty classroom

The desks and other furniture had long been cleared out and the windows partially boarded. The floor held years of dust and dirt but it was obvious Julius had made this his home. the door we entered through held numerous locks and was also boarded. He had a few mattresses on the floor and a makeshift food prep area close by. 

As we walked further into the room another figure emerged and flew at Cain unexpectedly

He jumped at the contact and I immediately felt panic
