Hide and Seek

LEENA POV

Our entourage made of Me, Xui, Lokkar, Slix, Troy and Alan had traversed through endless wilderness to finally make it to Houston Texas. Everything certainly is bigger in Texas. The air was much  warmer here and even the sun itself seemed brighter larger.

Xui and i had barely spoken to each other, but he speared me with his lingering looks everyday. I pretended i didn't feel them. I wasn't ready to address our situation or whether or not we would be together. 

The first building we came up on was empty but,  We found soiled clothing, empty bottles and disturbingly enough, used condoms. It was clear humans had been here. The only clue that it may have been the rebellion was the bullet shells littering the ground. As well as the walls. A shooting probably occurred before they fled the building.

We continued on

The next place held a horrifying scene. A body, a decayed plagued corpse rotted away in the old decapitated house. Flies buzzed around it and the stench made us gag repeadlty.The body had a bullet hole through the forehead. Suicide perhaps? The unwanted memory of my fathers own suicide replayed in my head and suddenly i could no longer be in that room. 

I ran outside breathing heavily. Sucking up the clean air attempting to regain my composure.

"Leena? Are you well?" I heard Xui asked 

I nodded growling in irritation "Ugh, i feel like this is a game of hide and seek" 

"Yea me too where the hell are they?" Troy sneered

"We keep searching" Xui states calmly

A WEEK LATER

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" a voice shouted halting us all In our steps

"You got 2 seconds to tell me wha you want before i put a bullet through your skull!"

Troy, Alan and I held up our hands in surrender while the LoQuans just  snarled in defiance

"One last chance!" the voice bellowed

"We don't mean any harm. We have come looking for the rebellion! we have developed one of our own.  we were hoping to join forces"  I yelled back

A moment later a figure appeared. A female. she walked towards us calmly; her movement displaying her obvious strength. Her toned muscles stretched from beneath her clothing. She screamed  power. Her hair was shaven along the sides and piercing covered every inch of her face.

She glared at she approached her eyes widening once she saw Xui and the others 

Rapidly she drew her weapon pointing it at Slix

"Outsiders! what do you want?" she growled

"Hey its cool they're with us" I told her 

" And Who are you" She snapped 

"I am Leena this is Troy, Alan, Slix, Xui and Lokkar"

She hissed at the LoQuans but lowered her weapon slowly

"Why are they here?" Another voice asked 

I could not see them but answered anyway

"They are with me. We are part of a rebellion. We have vital information and  we thought we could work together. help one another. After all we both want the same things right? " I stated confidently

"Really the woman replied

"Yes. We can leave if your not interested"

"Maybe.. Well see. I'm Keira"

"Wow i knew the government were full of traitorous assholes but this......" Keira said shaking her head incredulously

I nodded agreeing with her. I had just told her everything we had learned 

"So are we in alliance or not? i aksed impatiently

"Well that depends. What is your plan?"

"We think we should  attack the governemrnt first then theire ship they are bulding I tell them"

Keira laguhs

"Oh girly that is useless even if you attack them and succeed someone else would simply take there place" 

"So what do you suggest?"

"Well we have been watching them for years. I would suggest using your boy toy there to rally his people and letting them know the governments plans. We need to stop theses facilities too. You gather as many Outsiders as you can on our side. I'll have my people raid as many facilities as i can. Ruining all their plans and taking away their bargaining tools in one swift blow"

I pause in contemplation. Would that plan work? Could i trust these people?

"I agree" Slix comments shockingly

I look towards him as he watches Keira with a feral intensity

"Xui?"

"Yes i agree that is what we can do. I will bring my message to my people. Lokkar has family that will stand with us without question. We will use my title and his family's influence to convince my people to stand against my father?"

Keira looks at Xui with confusion

"Title. Who are some kinda bigshot Alien or something?"

Lokkar snarls at her

"He is our future sovereign, the crown prince of our people and you will show him proper respect human" 

"Or what?" Keira said challengingly stepping closer to Lokkar

"Ok enough we are working together remember" i said moving in between the two

"Fine. come meet the rest of the crew" Keira says her eyes still watching Lokkar

She turns away walking through a set of doors

Our group hesitates glancing to one another in trepidation

I make the first move with Xui beside me. together we step through 

A horde of men and some females sit around tables and couches in a giant room. Their eyes meet us the moment we walk in. Some are curious and intrigued but most are annoyed and hostile

Murmurs about outsiders ring through the room. Raising my hackles and irritation

"Lee?" A familiar voice calls

My gaze swings towards the figure who stands an movves to me with a broad grin

"Brandon?"................

How do you think Brandon and Leena know each other?

What do  you think will go wrong with this plan? With the alliance?
