Rendezvous

XUI POV

When i awoke next i was in a soft bed alone. The memory of Leena being taken jolted me from my involuntary slumber.  Sluggishly i tried to recall how long it had been since she was taken.

I could not allow her to stay with them even one moment longer.  they would torture and kill her, just for spite. If she died i could not promise i would not follow

"O Good you are awake" Jolikk said as he quickly retreated back into the hall.

i knew then i was back at the base; Without my Leena

Soon a group of people hearded into my room. 

"My Prince finally you wake" Slix said relieved

"How long?" i asked they knew what i wanted to know

No one spoke the lingering silence speaking volumes

"HOW LONG!"

"4 days my prince. They used an extreme dose on you" Lokkar admitted 

I jumped out the bed quickly, my steps unsteady. They moved to assist me but i snatched away angrily.

Walking towards the door with determined steps i was set on getting to Leena and saving her. Why did they not go save her in my stead? they knew how i felt about her, how upset i would be.

"My Prince" Slix said following me anxiously

"STOP calling me that!" i growled at him

He looked taken aback by my fury but adverted his eyes and remained silently obedient

"None of you thought to go save her!"  I snapped at my men

"Xui. we agreed to wait until you recovered. We knew you would want to go after her yourself. But first you might want to hear what the human rebels have to say" Lokkar commented

I stared at them considering their words. What could he need to learn from the human rebels?. All I needed to do was rescue Leena.

Everything else was paltry in comparison. Finally I conceded to their wishes, perhaps they had a away to aid me, After all I admitted I needed them to save her in case there was another ambush waiting for us; which I fully expected.

They walked briskly down to the open living space where many of the rebels had gathered. Quarreling voices reached their ears as they neared

The arguing ceased with my presence. The woman we had met before Kiera greeted me. 

" Well it seems the prince finally rises once again. how you doing cupcake" she mocked with a tease in her tone

I ignored it not interested in her playful banter. My love was being held captive by my sadistic evil family, there was no time for such things

"Tell me what you have learned" i demanded 

She smirked watching me

"Right to business huh? you Outsiders are so uptight"  she stated. She glanced briefly at Slix before she began talking

"We had destroyed 6 plague facilites so far. According to our scouts spread all over the country. There are only 4 left. We also have found out from our spies that the truce is in jeopardy as we thought, because of our little interference, Also they reported that they found where the ship is being built and they have said it is finished and now ready for orbit; except They reported it being more than one. A ship larg as a state and two slightly smaller ones."  She said pleased with the news

I recalled the meeting i had sat through. They needed the Longeriatior in order to successfully traverse space along great distances. My father had offered it for the 1000 human women. Did that mean they got those women then?

"So they were able to get those 1000 women then?" I asked concerned

Kiera shook her head .

"Why do you think the truce is in Jeopardy. Apparently your people gave them their part of the bargain but our shady government, thanks to us, failed to deliver the 1000 women. All they could provide was like 400." she snickered in amusment

I nodded in understanding absorbing the information

"There's more"  the boy named Brandon, that Leena was familiar with spoke

"Our scouts know where they are holding.....Lee" 

I froze glaring at the boy. Badly suppressing a snarl of rage that appeared on my face

"Where?" i sneerd at thim. He stepped back alarmed and wide eyed

" They're holding her Where the ship is" Keira answered 

Of course i thought bitterly. My father had said he would steal  the ship. Now that the humans were unable to deliver, he would go for the ship as recompense, as if it were not his plan to seize it anyway

"Im going to rescue her. However last time it was an ambush. They know i will come,  they will be ready. I need a large fearless force to assist me."

"We will help but only if we get to take down the government official's building  and those guarding that ship. And if you assit us with saving those 400 women

"I had no problems with those terms" I stated 

"How soon can you be ready to leave? I questioned impatiently

"A Few hours" Keria replied as she began barking orders at her people. She walked out the room hurriedly. I noticed how Slix eyes followed her but made no comment on the mattter

"Come You require adequate nourshiment"  Lokkar said focusing his attention on me 

"I am not hungry" i grumbled 

"Xui you must eat to regain your strength. How will you rescue Leena if you are weak?"  Slix pleaded worridely

"I will never be weak!" i spat.

regretting my outburst when he snapped his mouth shut and avoided my annoyed gaze

"Fine" i hissed as i walked away towards the kitchen. I did not want to admit that Slix was right. If i hoped to save my luviqa. i needed to be strong and not eating would not do.

And i was most  determined to save her. No matter the cost................
