LEENA POV
Xui looked panicked which in turn caused my anxiety to spike
"I have much to explain to you, I only hope you do not hate me when I am finished" his eyes looked tortured
I placed my hand on his oddly too pink face
"I would never hate you Xui,
Wait how can i understand you?"I remembered when I first met him we struggled to communicate
He gave me a small smile
"Translator technology. With the alliance we all have been given it"
I nodded
"We should sit" I offered nervously
I lead him to different empty classroom. As we sat on the dusty chairs in the dilapidated room facing one another, i studied his appearance.
He was nothing like the gangly too skinny boy I had known
He was muscular, tall, broad and his physic spoke of power and strength.
His face had matured and held an extremely handsome chiseled form albeit, still alien
However alien or not, there was no denying he was a fine specimen
I shook my head trying to remain focused.I should not be ogling Xui like that
"My father" Xui began stopping her lustful thoughts
"He....He I found out he had been in negotiations with your government people,...they are.... They have been running tests on human females" he choked out remorsefully
I gasped covering my mouth in shock. I knew the Outsiders had been doing this from Cain's words and what we both had witnessed on the journey here. but to have it confirmed. By Xui.
"What kind of test? What are they doing? I asked lowly not looking at him
He hesitated astutely noticing my distant expression
"I am not sure I did not stay to find out"
Strangely I felt betrayed
Slowly I rose from my chair, my gaze fixed on Xui with betrayal and sadness. Unshed tears glistened in my eyes
At my crestfallen expression Xui immediately rose reaching for me
I stepped back quickly, glaring at him in disdain
Xui hung his head in shame at my rejection, a tormented look in his eyes
I could tell he was upset by what his people were involved in but my own anger couldn't see reason at the moment.
"Please,.. Leena" he pleaded
"I ran away from there, once I discovered their intentions. I had nothing and wanted nothing to do with it" he assured me
Still I sneered at him
"So what you came here to do what exactly? You thought I would welcome you and your despicable kind once you revealed the awful truth, of just how disposable and insignificant humans are to your kind" I spat
I could see my hate was like claws on his flesh slicing him open and leaving him raw
"I came to seek your help to stop it"
I laughed a full bellow, that echoed off the barren walls
"My help? what the hell do you expect me to do?, I can hardly manage to stay fed and alive"
