"EEEKKKKKK!" Claudia squealed a greeting as she jumped out of Finneas' tour bus. It was quite an upgrade from his beat up old car they had been traveling in before this. Claudia picked me up and swung me around in a circle, not even greeting Billie.

She pulled away with a hand gripping either side of my upper arms, "Holy Shit Cleo! I fucking missed you!"

I felt myself lighting up, despite all the shit that had been happening Claudia had really tried to keep in touch. We had been texting every couple days. She was a sincere person. She didn't know how Billie and I got back together yet, or even all the details of the break up but I saw her eyes widen as she whispered and urgent,

"Okay so...details?"

I nodded, glancing over at Billie who seemed distracted, strumming Finneas' new guitar,

"Let's get on the bus and I'll update you before Billie gets on? She will kill me if she hears me tell you."

We scurried onto the bus hand in hand and sat on a king sized bed in the very back, presumably where Claudia and Finn slept.

"Spill!" She demanded.

I told her everything, including the blackmailing. If anyone was going to give an honest response it was Claudia. She knew Billie probably better than I did...and she was basically my best friend at this point.

When I finished her bottom lip dropped slightly,

"Cleo...that is so fucked up I am so sorry..." she reached out for my hand but I cleared my throat,

"It might seem fucked up Clauds, but I kinda want to make this work anyway. I love her. I just hate leaving Heather like that. She never did anything to deserve it."

Claudia nodded, understanding my dilemma.

"You know you could always use my phone to text her or call her...if you want. You know I won't tell," Claudia pulled her phone out and began handing it to me. I looked down at it without reaching back right as Billie whipped the curtain open to the small bedroom we were sitting in,

"And this is where we sleep...." Finn trailed off, obviously giving Billie a tour.

Billie glared at me, her gaze was fiery and switched between myself and Claudia, then down to Claudia's extended hand with her phone. Finn sensed the tension and quit talking.

I bit my bottom lip and gave sorry eyes to Billie.

"Cleo. A fucking word? Outside the bus?" Billie half asked, half demanded from me.

I nodded and followed her, Claudia mouthed a "sorry" to me as I exited the room.

Billie yanked on my arm pulling me off of the bus, harder than what was required.

"Ow!" I yelped. Billie continued to glare at me.

"What the fuck was that Cleo? I thought we were doing good again? Back together? Huh?"

I didn't respond so Billie put her hands on her hips and continued,

"I know what the fuck you were trying to do in there. You think that bitch can give you something that I can't?"

I shook my head no, "I just feel bad ghosting her...that's all," I mumbled.

Billie let out a breath and cracked her knuckles, "Alright Cleo. One fucking phone call. Then we never discuss her again, understood?"

I nodded and gave a small smile, glad to be able to give Heather some closure. That's all I wanted right? Closure?

Billie handed me her phone and I dialed Heather's number, Billie rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed that I had memorized it.

She answered on the second ring,

"Hello?"

Her voice sounded scared, nervous.

"Heather? Hey it's Cleo."

I heard a sigh of relief, "Oh my God Cleo! Where have you been? I have been worried sick about you! Why aren't you answering your phone? Whose phone is this?"

I waited a moment before responded, Billie moved her hands in a "keep going" motion waiting for me to speak again.

"This is Billie's phone. I called to let you know we are going to try to work things out. I just wanted to give you some closure instead of ghosting you, I appreciate everything you have done for me..." I heard Heather started to sniffle and instantly felt guilty. Billie read my face and snatched the phone from my hand.

"She's mine again now Heather, stay the fuck away from her," then Billie hung up.

She put her hand on my shoulder as I stared at my shoes,

"You good?" She asked.

I had to be good.
