Fucked Up.

Billie coaxed me back onto the bus by kissing my cheek and whispering some sappy shit about us being better off now, but I knew this was wrong. Heather did nothing to deserve a breakup via phone call.

Claudia sat beside me for the bus ride but Billie watched us intently, aware that Claudia was trying to get what happened out of me with her intense stares. We stopped at a gas station to pee and get snacks and Billie finally allowed me out of her sight as she ran towards the chip aisle, searching for Taki's.

I felt a yank on my arm as Claudia cornered me,

"Are you okay?"

I nodded and looked around us again, making sure Billie wasn't watching,

"She made me call Heather and officially end things."

Claudia smiled, "Well good that's what you wanted right? You talked to her."

I bit my lip and Claudia knew I was second guessing my decision. Her face grew serious.

"Cleo I know Billie is fucked up. I know she did some shit to you that was not okay on any level...Finneas has done stuff like that too. I don't know why. I think maybe they are so distrusting of close relationships because of their parents being psychos," Claudia shrugged and rolled her eyes slightly, "...but whatever it is, it's not normal. What I do know is that they do love us. Billie has never been like this with anyone else, and I've met her other girlfriends. It was different with them. So give her a chance? I'm right here this entire trip, if you still aren't sure when we are done... then reconsider?"

Claudia was right and I knew it. Billie was definitely fucked up, I knew that when I got with her but chose to love her anyway. I shouldn't choose not to love her now when she needs me the most...and is clearly putting a lot of effort into our relationship working out.

"You're right Clauds. Thanks," I smiled at her and inner locked our arms, dragging her towards the drink section.

We checked out and I felt arms snake around the back of my waist the way that they used to in the locker room. Even though we were in public and they weren't harsh on my skin, her skin tickling me slightly got my blood pumping the way they used to. I smiled at the thought.

Billie rested her head on my shoulder, "I love you Cleo."
