"Go, Snivy!"
I looked back at Beth in confusion, surprised at yet another place I didn't know. My new surroundings had large, stone structures instead of trees, with the paved ground contrasting with the wood that I was standing on moments before. I turned my head back and found a pidove in front of me with another human farther back.
"Snivy, use tackle!"
I took a moment to question Beth's orders. "Tackle? I know how to tackle, but why would I? That pidove did nothing to me, why would I hurt him? I don't want to do that!"
I look back at Beth in confusion and saw her own look of bewilderment. And a hint of...anger?
Suddenly, I saw movement from up ahead. The bird started flying into the air and flapping its wings hard. A gust of wind flew towards me and sent me flying. I landed on the ground, hard. My body ached as I got up into a standing position.
"C'mon, Snivy, attack back! Use tackle!"
I head the impatience in my trainer's voice, but I hesitated to do anything. Why did she want me to attack the other pokemon? Why did the pidove hurt me? Did my trainer and the other human have an argument? What is going o-
Another gust of wind flew struck me at full force. I was sent soaring again, but I was unconscious by the time I hit the floor.
