I ran swiftly towards my opponent. I jumped into the air and slammed my tail into them. Jumping back, I looked at my opponent. It remained motionless, displaying no reaction. The trainer on the other side shouted.

"Whirlipede, use Poison Sting!"

The pokemon jumped and started spinning in the air. Hundreds of glowing purple darts fired from its body.

"Dodge it!"

I ran away from my opponent, trying to get out of range from its attack. When I felt something prick my back, I fell to the ground. Standing back up, my vision and body started to get fuzzy. I had been poisoned.

"Whirlipede, Solar Beam!"

The other pokemon started gathering energy and condensed it into a glowing white ball.

"Counter it with Leaf Tornado!"

I started gathering energy as well, but it was slower than usual due to my sudden lack of focus. My opponent fired a golden beam and I released my tornado. Both attacks hit each other, leaving the other pokemon unharmed. However, I felt myself growing weaker from my increased movements.

"Leaf Tornado, again!

I gathered energy, quicker this time, and fired the spinning leaves at my opponent. The attack landed this time and caused the other pokemon to tip onto its side.

"Aerial Ace!"

My muscles were weak, but I still ran as fast as I could at my opponent. I tensed my body, sprung up into the air, and slammed my tail onto my opponent's exposed side. The impact from my tail sent shivers up my spine and I jumped back, only to barely landed on my feet. My vision was too blurry and I was swaying too much to attack again. I heard a muffled voice come from across the battlefield.

"Whilipede is unable to battle, Servine wins the match!"

Before I could turn around to Beth to see her reaction, I felt myself falling. I barely registered that I hit the ground before I blacked out.
