I don't remember how badly I was hurt, but I was made aware of it when I felt a warm sensation enveloping me. My aches and pains vanished and I felt strength return to my body. I sat up from the dirt ground and found that I was back in that strange forest with the windmill. Except for this time, the moon had risen and stars sprinkled the sky. Standing up, I tried to recall what had happened in my head.

"Before this, I was battling that pidove. Or rather, it was battling me. Why did it attack me? There was a human shouting at it, just like my trainer did." At that moment, a thought came to my head.

"Beth! Was she mad at me?" Her face of anger and voice of impatience flashed in my mind. "I might have displeased her, I hope that I can make it up to her. When can I see her again?"

But a thought occurred to me, how do I get out of here? Last time I left this place, it was not of my own will. So how do I do it by myself?

As if someone was listening to my thoughts, I felt myself being sucked towards the sky. A familiar red tint engulfed the world around me as my vision warped. When everything became clear, I was at the edge of a forest path where it was also nighttime.

"What were you doing?! You were supposed to attack!"

I turned towards the furious voice and found Beth, whose face mirrored her voice's tone.

"You were supposed to follow my orders! Now I lost several hundred pokedollars, and it is all your fault!"

I was taken aback by my trainer's voice, her demeanor was starkly different from what I remembered. Hoping to get an explanation, I started advancing towards her.

"No! Don't you take one more step towards me!"
