Into the Glowing Gap

I was resting in my pokeball, staring at the starry night sky. I had been healed at the pokemon center a few hours before and was lying down on some grass. The major battle that was important to Beth was over with, and I helped her become the victor. But then a thought came to me.

"It wasn't just me that helped out, the others must have too. They deserve some appreciation as well. I'd really like to meet them."

I had wondered before how to get out of my pokeball myself, but never actually searched for an exit. Standing back up, I started to look around. I first came to the giant windmill in the center of the clearing. I circled the structure, inspecting it and see if there was anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly, I saw it.

The wood paneling in the back was made in a way that made an outline of a rectangle. The height of the shape stopped just after my head, almost as if it was made for me. Curious, I pushed on the wooden outline. The wood paneling rotated, the same way a revolving door would. The hole made by the displaced wood glowed a soft white light, but I couldn't see what was beyond.

I stepped into the light and felt my body tingling. My surroundings were now all glowing white and featureless. A small panic set into my body and I wondered if I had done something wrong.

After a few seconds, the white glow dissipated and I could see details emerging around me. I was in a dark room, with the only source of light coming from a window in front of me. My feet were set on a pastel green-carpeted floor and the walls around me were a dark shade of blue. Taking a look around, I found that I was in the middle of two human beds with my trainer sleeping on one of them.

I was startled to hear the sounds of rustling coming from the other bed. I made sure to keep my steps quiet as I investigated the noise. What I found were the other pokemon that Beth owned, tied to the legs of the bed.
