I froze in place at Beth's bitter words

"Do NOT come near me unless you know how to follow my orders."

I stood and stared silently at her as she continued to berate me.

"Because you lost me several hundred pokedollars, I can't stay at a hotel. I have to camp out here until tomorrow. Hopefully, you will learn to listen to me then."

Beth set down her backpack and reached her hand into it. When the hand emerged, it was grasping a rope. Her other free hand was pointing at a nearby tree.

"Go stand over there."

Not wanting to frustrate my trainer even more, I walked towards the tree. Once there, she tied one end of the rope at my neck and the other end to the trunk of the tree.

"Stay here until I tell you otherwise. I recommend that you sleep, we're going to have a long day of training tomorrow."

Beth turned around and started to pitch a tent. As I lay by the tree, I looked up to the starry sky.

I thought to myself, "How can I make my trainer happy again?"

As my trainer continued to set up camp, I couldn't stop thinking. About Beth's warm smile and how it made me happy as well. About her disapproving look towards me.

A chill breeze swept past me, bringing me back to reality. I thought there was nothing at the moment I could do besides sleep. After all, Beth said I should follow her orders, and her orders were to sleep.

I laid my head down and curled my tail inwards. Closing my eyes, I hoped to see Beth's smile again.
