The first thing I remember from that morning was steps on grass and dirt approaching me. I opened my eyes from my sleep and found Beth was the one making those steps. I looked as she went to the tree where I was tied to and unknotted the rope. Then Beth came to me as she untied the rope from my neck.

"Glad to see that you're up," Beth said flatly. "Get ready to move because you are going to learn how to battle properly."

Once free. my trainer turned towards the woods and motioned me to follow her. I remembered what she said to me last night and started trailing after her.

We walked silently between the trees for a couple of minutes until Beth abruptly stopped. She grabbed me and placed me in front of her.

"See that patrat over there?" Beth pointed to the small, brown pokemon in a small forest clearing. "I want you to use tackle on it."

I hesitated and thought to myself, "She wants me to use tackle on another random pokemon? Though if I don't attack it, Beth will be angrier than she already is. I have to follow Beth's orders, right? And the patrat can be healed just like I did, right?"

Still unsure, I looked at my trainer. Her expectant eyes peered into me, impatiently waiting for me. I turned back to the patrat and made my decision. I tensed my legs and charged at the normal-type.
