Beth never cared. She never cared about our viewpoints or how she treated us. She didn't care how much she meant to me, how much I wanted for her to return my feeling of happiness. Beth only cared about winning.
Two voices shouted in unison.
"Servine?" "Servine!"
Mareep and Litwick were looking at me, with concerned expressions on their faces. I felt something dripping from my face and touched my cheek to investigate it. I was...crying? I wiped my face and looked at Litwick and Mareep. They had been treated badly by Beth as well. We put our full effort into pleasing Beth, but nothing came out of it.
"We deserve better," I said out loud.
"Huh? What do you mean," questioned Litwick.
"Yeah, and where did this come from," Mareep continued.
"Please think about it. When has Beth given us actual affection? When has she cared more about us than victory?"
My voice was not held by anger, but with regret.
"I've seen other pokemon with their trainers. The pokemon smile and the trainers smile back. They care and love for each other, have you seen that with Beth?"
I paused to let Mareep and Litwick think about it.
'No," Mareep responded.
"But she's the only trainer we got," Litwick exclaimed. "We can't just pick and choose who we get, we have to go along with whatever is dealt to us. That's why I like having you guys around. You two have been the only good thing that's been given to me."
Mareep and I smiled and comforted him, but it only reinforced my belief. These two pokemon should receive the care they give.
"We only have each other, and I want to keep what I've got," Litwick finished.
I thought for a moment on Litwick's words. Did we only have each other?
"Actually, there is someone else we turn to," I realized.
Mareep gave a shocked expression.
"Really? Who is it?"
"Rose."
