Lihenk enters the poke'mon center and he speaks to Dr. Mario because Peach is not around and according to her sayings at Oldale town. "He will be incharge while I'm not around."
"Mamamiya! What I can do for you?" Dr. Mario said nicely to Link.
"I need to heal my poke'mon." Link replied.
"Oh, You are looking for Princess Peach. Huh? I'm affraid that she is not around so I'm incharge today so anyway let me heal your poke'mon first." Dr. Mario said healing Link's poke'mon.
After few seconds all of his poke'mon were completely healed.
"There you go. It's all done. And have a nice day." Dr. Mario said returning Link's poke'mon to him after healing.
Link exits the poke'mon center and meets Ravio at the poke'mon center entrance.
"Hello Link it's so great to see you again." Ravio said with a greeting voice.
"Yeah! Hello there too. And how are your poke'mon journey?" Link replied with a greetings voice then asking him how's the poke'mon journey.
"Well... actually my journey is great and I still only have one poke'mon in my team but that all right. I'll just buy my potions at the poke'mart because the first gym that I am going to fight is strong somewhat lv. 12 - 13 But anyway I'll heal my poke'mon first." Ravio replied back to Link and asking how strong is the gym.
"Well okay, then see ya!" Link replied back to Ravio leaving the poke'mon center and heads to the poke'mart.
He buyed some potions for the preparation for the gym battle and then heads to Rustboro gym for his first gym battle.
Upon his entry to the gym he sees his teacher named Sonic which he is talking to his students just like Cheren in the Unova region's Asperita City gym. When he sees Link he said to him. "Hello there Link. Are you ready for your first lesson? Fight all the trainers in the gym. After that talk to me then I'll challenge you."
Link searchs the room and fights the first trainer in the gym.
"Are you ready for this trainer?" Josh said.
"Yeah! I'm ready!" Link replied getting ready to battle.
"Go! Rattata!" Josh said senting out a Rattata.
"Go! Torchic!" Link said senting out a Torchic.
"Use Ember!" Link shouted.
"Tackle it! Rattata!" Josh shouted back.
Torchic spits Ember to Rattata and took damage in a one hit K.O. so Rattata fainted.
Link's poke'mon gained experience points.
Grubbin grew to lv. 6, Purrloin grew to lv. 7.
Link defeated the Schoolboy Josh.
"You defeated my poke'mon in one strike that was amazing. But you need to find the other two trainers first before you battle the gym leader." Josh said.
Link received $60 for winning.
Link goes to another trainer to battle for his gym leader battle as Sonic said to him upon his entry.
"Ready for your next lesson? Trainer." Tommy said to Link asking him for his next lesson.
"Go! Aipom!" Josh said senting out an Aipom.
"Go! Torchic!" Link said senting out a Torchic.
"Torchic! Use Ember!" Link shouted.
"Aipom! Use Scratch!" Tommy shouted back.
