When he leaves the gym he sees Donkey Kong who build his secret base a long time ago.
"Hey there. Fellow trainer, I saw you on T.V. On your gym battle and having a big questionnaire after your gym battle. How about building your own secret base." Donkey Kong said to Link about his experience in his Fortree City gym and if he wants to build a secret base.
"What's a secret base?" Link replied to Donkey Kong what's the secret base about.
"I'll show you how to build a secret base. Follow me. Let's head to Route 119." Donkey Kong replied back to Link to show how the secret base looks like.
Link and Donkey Kong head to Route 119 to build his own secret base. And they saw a tree with a hole on it.
"Well it's just an actual tree." Link said to Donkey Kong that the tree that they saw is just an actual tree.
"No. It can be a secret base. Just watch okay. Machoke! Go!" Donkey Kong replied to Link that the tree that they saw can be a secret base then he sends out his Machoke.
"Machoke! Use Secret Power on that tree!" Donkey Kong shouted at Machoke as a command to use Secret Power on the tree.
Machoke sends a Secret Power on the tree and the tree became a secret base. So they can enter the Secret Base and the room is quite small and Donkey Kong has already gathered the materials for his secret base.
"Here are your materials for your secret base." Donkey Kong said to Link giving him the materials for his secret base.
"Thanks." Link replied.
"Start decorating and talk to me after you build your secret base." Donkey Kong replied back.
Link grabs the materials and starts building his base of his own. And this is what he placed. A sofa on the left corner of the room, a table and chair on the middle right, a poster on the left wall, a mat on the middle of the floor, some of the fences attached on the room, the plants on the top corners, and a Pikachu doll on top of the table. Then he goes to Donkey Kong for what his base looks like.
Donkey Kong goes forward to check his decorative base.
""Hmm... Well I like your style on building your base but if you want to change it again. There is a P.C. Right over there. So you can change your decorative style whatever you like." Donkey Kong said.
"Okay." Link replied.
