At Granite Cave Frisk sees the drawing above the wall what happened many years ago. He pictures it with a camera then goes back to Rustboro City to se it to Sonic. Upon leaving Granite Cave he encounters Link and said.
"Hello what are you up to?" Frisk said to Link in a greetings voice.
"I have a letter from Sonic." Link replied that he has a letter from Sonic.
"Okay, give it to me so that I can read it." Frisk replied back handing him over the letter.

Deliver the Devon parts that Link is holding to Slateport City and report back to me after delivering the Devon parts to your father (Asgore). In order to get to Slateport City. You must ask Popeye to get you through there.

"Oh I see. So Sonic told me to go to Slateport City to give the Devon parts to my father?" Frisk said to Link after reading the letter.
"Yes." Link replied with an answer.
"Then let's go." Frisk replied back to Link that he will go to Slateport City to deliver the Devon parts to his father.
They both head to Popeye and said.
"Hi there, Let's go to Slateport City." Frisk said to Popeye.
"Oh sure I'll bring you guys there and I'll you both there off." Popeye said to both of them accepting their request.
So they hop on the boat and they set sail to Slateport City.
