It was a sunny day, but lightning seemed to snatch Alesh's heart.
"YOU LIE!" She clenched her fist, "I saw my father got beaten! He tried to protect me! THEY'RE ALL GOT KIDNAPPED AND MAYBE TORTURED BECAUSE OF ME!"
Askar flinched. His sister's eyes turns red, eyebrows flinch upwards, then forced to touch each other again.
Askar gulped, "Maybe... That's possible. I've never seen your parents, so maybe they aren't Has's supporter. But our other families, definitely are." He pointed a scar on his right arm, "it was a gift from them because I tried to run away a few years ago. "
"Why didn't you do Jait — I mean, cure them?" Grier asked.
Askar smiled weakly, "This is what makes me different. I can't cure myself, nor do I have any special weaknesses. Or maybe, that's my weakness, but that's normal right? "
Alesh glared, "Then how do you know if you are Jlanx?"
"I can fly."
All of his friends said 'Woah...' slowly. Askar played with his shirt, slightly bend his back and move away. Alesh locks her mouth. She understood why her cousin felt that way.
Eidlan thought while the twins watched Askar. Grier and Vasyl look at each other and sighed, Vasyl grabbed his wallet and ran. Eidlan didn't prevent it, he knew Vasyl would be fine.
About five minutes later Vasyl returned, carrying a large bag of bread from the nearest grocery store and giving it to Askar. He and his brother also ate, followed by Alesh and Eidlan.
"You said earlier, many Jlanx wants to run away?" Eidlan asked.
"Yep," Askar replied, his mouth full of bread.
"So..." Eidlan murmured, "do you know where they are?"
"Uh-huh," Askar answered again, his mouth still greedily devouring bread. Alesh stares for a while, could not bear to imagine what he had experienced.
"Can you take us there?"
Askar stopped chewing, his cheeks bulging, in line with his eyes. Alesh looks at Eidlan sharply, stood up and dragged him away.
"How dare you ask that!" She snapped, "he spent all his time, energy, even his life to running away, and now you want to take him to... To that..." She tried hard not to cursing, "...That place again?"
"I... I just think... That... The more people, the better it could be."
Alesh glared, Eidlan tried hard not to creep. Vasyl and Grier look at each other, they didn't know what Alesh and Eidlan were talking about, but Eidlan clearly in a trouble.
Askar swallowed his last piece of bread, "I... can take you there."
Alesh turned her head, Eidlan grinned, between happy, relief, and guilt. Alesh still disagreed but said nothing when Askar began to fly, followed by Vasyl and his friends.
Fortunately, Askar's fly and Vasyl's run are almost in the same speed. Alesh feels dumb when she just realized that. Besides, Eidlan don't even questioning about it, it was obvious and she supposed to know.
Vasyl look up for the seventh times, tried to followed his new friend without crashing. Eidlan on the other side, also look up and tried his best to ask, "WHERE DID THEY KEEP THE KIDS?"
"Uh... The prison?"
"WHERE IS IT?"
"Basement. But lower, actually. Like hidden dungeon." Askar snorted, "they change shift ever six pm and am."
