"Lareu!" Alesh put her hands around her mouth, "LAAAAREEEUUUUU....!"
<Excuse me, little kid> A bear suddenly appeared, <who are you trying to call our queen like that?>
"Oh. Pardon me, Sir." Alesh look around, "Can you please make a possibility for an arrangement of an appointment between Queen Lareu and I, Alesh, from humankind?"
<For what?>
"To examining a percentage of what the prospect effort for protecting our kind, side to side, fighting pagan creatures who will arrives at a promptly time."
<You mean the barbarian creatures!> The bear show his teeth, <You lead them to us!>
"With all due respect, Sir, I only come here for a little help. Indeed my friends and I used this Island for getting some comfort and exploring our curiosity without any permission, but should I remind you of who was helping the Queen to give birth? Precisely, my kind." Alesh looks at the bear firmly, "and the prince was named after me. In my kind, that shows a great honour. I'm assured that the Zeshanieans are a venerated kind which has enough gratitude to respect other's belief?"
<You're great at words> The bear said, <I'll take you to the Queen>
"Thank you."
The Queen was in her private cave, lead the baby to sleep. Alesh heard she sing for moments, kind of a slow and warm hum. She only heard that on a movie before. She always thought thing like that is fake, but surely what she's heard is not at all.
"Anything, dear?"
"Oh. Umm..." Alesh clears her throat, "It is such an honour to meet you, Queen Lareu. Pardon my wishes, but can we talk in private? I promise in the name of my kind that I won't do something unacceptable."
Lareu laughs, "You don't have to keep formal in front of me, Alesh, but I adore your ability to talk." She nodded to the bear, "I appreciate your dignity to keep guarding the Island by suspecting someone from... Different kind, General Bachas. But from now on, Alesh and her friends are always be accepted on our island. That's a final decision and please spread it to the whole island. Make sure everyone hears it."
<I accepted your order, my queen>
Lareu waits until Bachas disappeared, "What's wrong?"
"I'm not smart at small talk, so may I go to the main topic?"
"You may."
"A flying rabbit named Sameez said that the bad-Jlanx — I mean, the barbarian will arrive soon. While he talked, I stretch my strength to read their plan, but instead I read about some events that happened before." Alesh gulped, "I thought this is really important and has something to do with my friends' and my strangeness. Do you mind to tell me what happened?"
Lareu clearly mind. But she adores the way this girl talked and decision to warn them instead of running or destroying their Island by fighting unconditionally.
So she nodded, "We have eggs called 'Frashia' — Almost all the animals here lay eggs, except lions, foxes and bears. We keep Frashia in somewhere hidden, to be safe. Each Frashia has its own strength, the strongest is the deer's. Theirs is the bright magenta one — surely you can't see it now."
She remains silent for a moment. Alesh put her hands on her paws, "Then what happened?"
"Those barbarian creatures certainly wanted the Frashia, also some of other Frashias. Long time ago, when they first arrived, they said they would raise the Frashians and train them to be strong, being able to use their strength as early as possible. I don't want to, but my husband..."
Alesh approached several inches towards Lareu. Lareu sigh, she continued.
"My husband insisted to believe them, because he wanted every animal to be ready for whatever danger came later." Lareu laughed bitterly, "stupid... He doesn't realize that the real danger is to trust them.
"In short," Lareu continued after a pause, "every animal agrees. But, as I thought, they used Frashia for something evil. We realize that when it's too late. Grys — my husband — was furious. There was a war, he died, I continued the fight in pregnancy, and won. But the Frashias have already been used, and whatever the results is, it's truly bad and they bought those things with them. From that moment on we no longer believed in humans — until previously, you came. "
Alesh considered herself as a dumb, but she immediately know what the "bad thing" is Jlanx. Obviously Jlanx. Frashia must contain something to make something like her.
"Maybe this is a bit off-topic, but how long does it take from the time you were pregnant to giving birth?"
"Around 12-15 years, but believe me, for us it was a little time." Lareu chuckled, "after all, our average age is 600 years."
Alesh nodded again, "Okay. I... Uh.. Have a plan. If I may suggest you, you have to go hide with your people. And—"
"Zeshanieans never hide from enemies. We will go and fight."
"And let them know you still exist? I don't think so." She looks at the lion firmly, "with all due respect, it's better for them not knowing all of you are still exist. Even if they try to find you, we'll hold them back. Anyway you just giving birth, don't you want to take care of your baby first?"
Lareu seems like she wants to chop Alesh's head off, but she remains calm and says, "Alright. You got the point. I'll gather my people, you go back to yours."
"They're not my people, but okay." Alesh wave, "I'll come back someday!"
"You sure could wish!"
Alesh laugh. She knew Lareu won't miss her. Though, when the queen watches the way she runs, and remembering the way she cares, that lion wasn't sure she'll be dissatisfied if they meet again.
So the queen smiled, "I guess I'll wait... Alesh."
