"Are you sure you want to go back to school after what happened today?" Demi asked me as we were both sitting in her car, parked outside of my high school. I nodded as I was still sobbing. Demi sighed, turned the engine off, and looked at me. "Look, you're not going back in there," Demi said, making me even angrier. "Demi, please. I really can't miss another day of school. I am already behind in most of my classes." I said, picking up my backpack from the floor of the car and lifting a strap over my left shoulder.

As I was looking at my school, I was debating whether or not my education was important at a time like this. On second thought, I really hated being lost in class and making up tests because half of the time, the teachers would have a completely different test for people who need to make up a test. Other times, they would swap answers or switch the last two questions. You know how teachers are always trying to spice up things. Like, calm the fuck down. You're not the fucking Spice Girls. Wow, am I really humoring myself during a moment like this. Well, time to get this show on the road.

I turned my head back to Demi and said, "Thanks for picking me up. I really didn't want to be by myself." I confessed, making Demi smile a tiny bit. "It's no problem, love. You're practically like a daughter to me." Demi said, poking me gently with her knuckle. "Am I picking you up after school?" Demi asked. "Uh...yeah. I definitely don't want Nick to come. He's a total buttface and he's a dick." I said. "Hey," Demi said, cocking an eyebrow. "That's my man you're talking about...if anyone's gonna call my husband a dick, it's going to be me." Demi pointed to herself, laughing and making me chuckle a little.

Instantly, I realized that Aunt Becky had signed me out for the day, I couldn't go back inside because the school was unaware that I was currently living under Demi's roof and not my grandparents'. "Oh, shit." I cursed, shutting my eyes.

"What's wrong?" Demi asked. "Nothing...it's just, I can't exactly go back inside. My aunt signed me out for the rest of the day and the school still doesn't know that..." My voice trailed off and immediately Demi caught on to what I was saying. Demi nodded, "Oh...yeah, that's right. Well...let's not let the rest of this day go to waste." Demi says, shifting the gear from park to drive as she sped away from the curb. I nearly hit the damn dashboard as Demi made swerved around the parked car that was right in front of us. "What the hell?! Demi! Are you high on unicorn shit?! Why are you driving like a maniac?!" I yelled as Demi laughed her ass off, while she was still driving.

"Seriously, you should really slow down before you get pulled over," I warned, holding onto the handle on the upper side of the car. "Will you chill out and learn to live on the wild side?" Demi says. Oh, I have lived on the wild side alright. Trust me, it's not fun at all. It's fucking dangerous. If only I would say it more often, maybe I'll start believing it and use it as a mechanism to prevent me from doing dumb shit. Eh, maybe I won't.

"Uh...Demi..." I called, trying to get her attention because of a familiar siren, but I realized that I didn't have to say anything. Demi's eyes were popping out of her head like an animated cartoon character when she saw the red lights in the rearview mirror. "Fuck me, this is a disaster and also the fifth time I have been pulled over this year," Demi said, braking and slowly pulling the car over to the side. "Oh, no! But what happened to Ms. Learn To Live On The Wild Side? What happened to livin' like Larry?" I sarcastically queried, not expecting her to respond back, but as always I am underestimated. "Who?" She retorted. "Just forget about it," I said, rolling my eyes. Demi looked away from me and stared at the blind spot mirror. She quickly pulled down her sun visor, puckered her red lips, fluffing up her hair, and pushing her boobs up. Jesus, give me strength. I looked back to see the male officer slamming his door shut and making his way over to Demi's vehicle. I heard his footsteps pounding on the concrete. I wondered what type of Old Town Road cowboy boots he was wearing. By God, he sounded like a horse. He could have fooled me.

The sound of someone clearing their throat and a shadow casting over Demi's side of the car. Demi looked over at the officer, batting her eyelashes, and pouting her lips. "Hello, officer. I hope I wasn't going over the speed limit." Demi said, moving her chest down low enough for the cop to see what was inside. And to think that maybe the cop would be a little decent have a little respect for himself and Demi, but no, he doesn't look away. He literally looks further in the direction where her boobs were. What, a fucking pervert. Once again, my underestimation has plummeted to its death. "Oh, catch yourself on," I whispered to myself, turning my head away from the two before I boked.
