I cannot actually believe that Mommy Dearest is pregnant.

You know at first, I didn't want to believe that Demi was expecting, but when I revert back to a week ago, Demi was having dinner with friends at the house and hardly touched any alcohol that was set on the table. Usually, she's a sucker for white or red wine, but white wine was more dominant in her favor.

The pregnancy, I believe. The part about Demi and Nick taking money out of Emma's savings and spending it on something that hasn't even been born yet is bullshit. It's balls. I mean, even if they are rich, I don't think they would do dumb shit like that. It's their first and only daughter. Man, if Demi and Nick were actually going through with this plan, then, they're more fucked up than I am.

"Okay. I think that my bag was the last of the suitcases that I put downstairs and now, all we have to do is load them in the back of your dad's annoying GMC." Demi joked, rolling her eyes as she saw her husband walk in to get a headstart on the items of luggage. He was dressed in all-black attire from head to toe. If I didn't know any better, I would have presumed that he was the Grim Reaper.

I saw Nick drag my suitcase and Emma's with the handles. To fuck with Nick, I decided to tease him a little bit because I haven't done so in a while, at least not to his face.

"Hey, Gru, make sure you don't sneak any nuclear weapons or minions in my bag." I bantered. Nick stopped, not turning around and saying, "Oh, believe me. If I planned on sneaking anything into your bag, it'd be narcotics." My smile dropped and both Demi and Emma dropped their mouths as they had heard what Dick Jonas had said to me

Demi's nostrils flared in anger, "Nick, stop it!"

Nick took both of his hands off of the suitcases in such a swift motion that I would have believed that he was Flash himself. "Actually, you know what, I take that back. I won't have to put them in there since you probably stashed some into your suitcase while my wife wasn't looking like the sly heathen you are."

"Nick!" Demi yelled again. I swear to God, I am going to kick Nick all the way to Australia if he doesn't stop talking.

I began balling my fist and licking my teeth with my mouth shut in vexation.

While tears were forming in my eyes and everything was getting blurry in my sight, I was melting with sadness inside while Nick was picking at me. I don't understand why he always has to be a dick and pick on me. What did I ever do to him?

I chuckled as the tears fell down both my chubby cheeks, saying, "You think that I would actually sneak drugs on an airplane when I have to go through security at the airport. Get over yourself, Nick."

"That didn't stop you before," Nick admitted. I felt my whole body stiff as I developed a lump in my throat from the tension. Emma was looking down at the white marble tiles in the living room and Demi was standing there with a perplexed look on her face.

"Shut up, Nick! Shut the fuck up, I swear to God!" I screamed while I was unable to catch my breath from the anxiety I was feeling right now.

"You should just tell her, Jade," Emma speaks up. Like, where the fuck did she come from? A chicken coop? Who asked for her opinion? I didn't remember asking for it. I can't believe that she's even suggesting that I just throw myself under the bus, even though, I was probably going to do it anyway because I didn't want to go on this stupid vacation. Honest to God, what is with rich people and going on vacation every two months. Just stay home, save some money, or watch something new on Netflix.

"No," I said to Emma, shaking my head. "Tell me what? Can someone explain to me what is going on?" Demi asked, getting annoyed while Nick and Emma were staring me down like two owls watching the moon.

I looked down at my dirty green Chucks as the big elephant in the room was casting over me like a shadow.

"Jade," Demi called. I didn't answer. Demi walked up to me and lifted up my chin. She grabbed both of my hands and started rubbing them. "Tell me what's wrong?" Demi asked. I saw Nick deeply sigh and roll his eyes behind Demi.

"I can't, " I said, shaking my head. Emma sucked her teeth and marched over to where Demi and I were standing. "I can," Emma said, pulling her mother away from me and folding her arms.

She seemed as if she was fed up with me like I was a big burden to her. "Ugh. Enough with this family soap opera shit, I am taking these out to the car. I'll be back with the others." I heard Nick say as he rolled the suitcases out of the house and onto the driveway.

No one acknowledged Nick's absence, except me. All eyes were fixated on me. Of course, that's nothing new.

"Look, mom." Emma initiated, grabbing Demi's attention. "Emma, no." I snapped, but Emma ignored me. What the fuck is her problem, I thought.

"She has to know, " Emma said, raising her voice. "Like, hell she does. You're the one who's making rounds of coke like you're fucking Pablo Escobar."

Demi gasped, stepping away from her daughter in shock. Emma's eyes widened and then they squinted in vengeance. "Oh, yeah, Rue, you wanna go there. You fucking junky, you wanna go there. How about you confess about stealing my dad's drugs?!"

"You fucking bitch. You are dead to me!"

"Enough! Both of you shut the hell up! I've had just about enough with you too. First of all, keeping secrets and turning your backs on one another?! Really? I thought you guys were like sisters. Sisters don't do that to each other."

"We're not sisters, mom." Emma spat. "Thank God because it would be a living nightmare, knowing that I'm related to someone like you." I said.

"You two are pathetic and second of all, Jade, as soon as we get to Bora Bora, you and I are going to have a good old time discussing your punishment."  I sighed, rolling my eyes.

"And, Emma, my dear, if you think for a second that I forgot about you because you're grounded as well. So, congratulations to the both of you knuckleheads! You fucked up my trip, but you're not gonna fuck it up anymore because I paid good money to be there and to make sure that everything goes good. Okay!" Demi yelled.

Emma and I nodded. "You two are going to be grounded for a lifetime. When you guys get to the island, you're grounded, when you get to the hotel, you're grounded, when you're asleep, you're still gonna be grounded, when you wake up, you're still grounded, and if you are still confused, you're gonna be grounded when we get back home."

"Okay, Demi. We get it." I said, glaring at Emma as she did the same with me.

"Yeah, mom, we get it. You can stop now." Emma begged, unfolding her arms and pouting her lips in defeat.

Demi scowled at us both and then she yelled, "Nick! Hurry up and get the rest of the bags, you know my back has been killing me lately!" Oh, really?

"Coming, honey!" Nick responded from outside. Honey? Huh, that's a first, at least, I think it was.

"You two, grab the rest of the luggage. I'm gonna go look for the keys, so I can lock up for the next two weeks." Jesus, I know she's pregnant but does she have to be a bitch this fucking early in her first trimester?
