A/N:It still doesn't make much sense to kill Lori off but alternate scenes at the end for just this chapter and 'Too Far Gone'
Y/N smiles as he helps Hershel walk.
Rick,Glenn and Daryl are all out in the fences when suddenly.
C: WALKERS!
Y/N turns to a massive amount of walkers spewing out of where Rick trapped them.
Y/N instantly takes out his gun and makes a path for Beth and Hershel.
M:Y/N! I'll handle my family...help Lori!
Y/N: on it!
He shoots down a few more before opening a door.
Y/N:Lori through here!
He leads Carl,Lori and Danny down a hall until.
L:ahh....
She crouches.
Y/N:Contraction?
C:are you bit?
L:n-no...I think the baby is coming...
Y/N immediately wraps his arm around her and practically carries her as Carl leads them throughout the hallways.
Finally he finds a clear room where Y/N lays Lori down.
Y/N:Lori your not 10 centimeters dilated yet...
L:Y/N...your gonna have to cut me open...
Y/N:Lori...i have nothing to stop the bleeding...or any anesthetic...
L:It needs to be done...I'm not losing this baby...please Y/N...
The woman says taking the boys hand.
Y/N whimpers.
Y/N:Lori...I swear to keep this baby, and rick and carl safe...
Lori smiles.
L:Carl...
C:No mom...I can go for hel-
L:no...listen to me... Your so strong...your going to beat this world I know you can...please son...take care of your daddy for me...?
Carl nods as he sheds tears.
Y/N sighs.
L:Y/N...Get this baby out of me please...
Y/N takes his knife and cuts across carefully as the room filled with Lori's screams.
Y/N whimpered as he seen Lori stop breathing.
He managed to get the baby out but it wasn't breathing.
Carl and Danny looked worried as Y/N turned the baby over and pressed it's back.
Sure enough the baby started crying and Carl handed Y/N his jacket to keep the baby warm.
Y/N pulls Carl close.
Y/N:buddy...I'm so sorry...
He said wrapping an arm around him.
Y/N:we need to go...
C:we can't leave her here... she'll turn...
Y/N sighs taking out his gun.
C:n-no...I'll do it...
Carl takes the gun from Y/N and soon there's a loud bang.
Back Outside...
Daryl and Rick were worried sick as both their families were no where to be found.
D:Beth, you seen Y/N or Lori?
R:how bout you Hershel,you seen Carl or Danny?
They both shook their heads.
R:We thought they'd circle around and come out here-
Screech
The sound of a metal door being open filled the air and was soon followed by a baby cooing.
Y/N held a slightly bloody baby in his arms and two distressed kids followed him.
Danny ran to Daryl who scooped him up and showered him in kisses while Y/N walked slower with tears in his eyes.
R:wh-where is she?
The sheriff said examining the boy with his new daughter.
Y/N couldn't make out any words, all that came out was stuttering as Rick began towards the door.
Y/N:R-Rick...n-no....
Was all he could make out before Rick broke down.
R:oh no!no!no!
Rick said breaking down as Daryl wrapped an arm around Y/N's waist kissing his forehead.
D:It's not your fault my love...
Y/N looked up at him and pressed his forehead against the taller man's.
Rick stormed into the room to look for Lori's remains as the rest of the group planned out how to take car of the newborn.
D:We need to get this baby somethin' to eat...
G:There's a pharmacy not too far away...
M:We checked that...it's been picked clean...
G:what about the shopping center?
M:baby sections been also cleared... Lori had me keepin' an eye out but I've had no luck...
Y/N:there's a kindergarten we passed by...
D:Well I'm goin'...
Daryl,Glenn,Maggie,and Y/N made their way to the vehicles.
G:the car won't fit through all the debris...
D:I could only take one of ya's...
Y/N spoke up.
Y/N:I'll go...
D:Y/N...no-
Y/N:I promised Lori I'd keep her family safe...please...for Lori...
Daryl sighs.
D:fine...
Y/N turns to Danny.
Y/N:papa and daddy will be back in a few hours... we're gonna go get some food for Carl's new baby sister...
DY:okay...b-be safe Papa! be safe Daddy!
D:give us kisses...
Danny is scooped up by the two men who shower him in kisses and finally once they let go they get on the motorcycle and take off.
They come upon a rusty old playground and cut through the fence and enter an old classroom.
Y/N starts scanning the place for anything they can use to feed the baby when he spots the baby formula.
He swipes it and looks up at the paintings on the walls.
Daryl smirks as he walks in and gives Y/N a backhug.
Y/N:Daryl...I'm scared...
D:of what...you know I'll take care of it for ya'...
Y/N:n-no...I'm scared of getting pregnant again...I seen what happened to Lori...i don't think I'd be able to handle leaving you and Danny and our unborn child...or even losing the child-
Daryl placed a finger over his lips and pulls him closer.
D:Y/N...y'know I'll always be there to protect you...I love you...your meh everythin'...
Y/N smiles and places a sweet kiss on his lips.
Back at the prison...
It was night time when the two returned to the camp where they heard a baby crying.
Y/N hands Maggie the baby formula and her and Beth get to work.
Daryl takes the crying baby who immediately stops crying.
D:I have a way with everyone...
Y/N rolls his eyes and Daryl turns to Carl.
D:she got a name yet?
C:I was thinking maybe Sophia...but there's also Carol...Jacqui,Amy,Patricia...Andrea...
or even Lori...
Y/N pats the boys back.
Y/N:those are all fantastic names...
Daryl takes the bottle and starts feeding the baby.
D:huh? ya like that...lil ass kicker...
Daryl smirks to the rest of the group.
D:that's a good name right?
They all start laughing and then rick comes out.
He sees the baby eating and Y/N talks to rick.
Y/N:Rick...wanna hold her?
All Rick can hear is the echoing of the baby crying.
ALT Scene...
Y/N leads lori to his cell where he boards up the door with walkers trying to get in.
Y/N:that should hold em'... Push Lori!
Lori screams as she pushes screaming in pain until theres a faint cry.
Y/N smiles as he cuts the umbilical cord and gives lori the baby.
Suddenly the cell door stumbles open and in come the walkers.
However they're all taken down from behind by Rick,Glenn,Daryl and Maggie.
Y/N smiles at the group before jumping into Daryl's arms.
Y/N:my hero!
Y/N smiles seeing the grimes all together as Rick kisses Lori's shoulder and they admire the new baby.
